Please post substantial proof. Oil companies have 150 million acres of federal land that they have leased for oil drilling.
It has not been used. Offshore drilling being allowed has nothing to do with lowering gas prices. It is merely political posturing.

i dont see how drilling for oil off shore does nothing. it would take 5 years to see any oil but imagine if we did this 5 years ago. and there are state bans that dont allow oil companies to drill nationally. i'd look it up but i got work now maybe later... i don't wanna get fired in this shitty economy but my overall point is that you can't just say THOSE GUYS are the reason why oil is high. everyone in politics is to blame.

You need to run tests before you know. It's called exploration. There has not been any exploration. Why do you make up statements without any legitamate backing?

I hear all this imagine if we would have drilled 5 years ago and whatever, but the fact is that now or in 10 years, this gas crisis was coming. We dont have the brains to plan ahead for the future and research other fuels if we are getting cheap oil now.
