Fucking Outback Steakhouse- sue em??

I took my kids to Outback Sunday night since both are going to be at their grandparents for the next 2 weeks. We sit down and the waitress comes over and asks what we want to drink- I order my drink and the kids say they want a strawberry mix drink (virgin of course). The waitress writes it down off she goes.

She returns later- drinks in hand and puts them down. The kids waste no time in grabbing theirs and woofing it down. My daughter who is seven starts acting like a complete idiot- laughing and goofing, my 4 year old son says he is tired and wants to lay down on my lap.. At first I did not think anything- but they were acting complete opposite of what they normally do.

I grab one of the drinks and take a sip-- my suspicion was validated. They fucking put alcohol in their fucking drinks. Both were drunk as hell. My son fell down when he stood up to come over to me. My daughter is still laughing and acting loopy. I stand up and yell for the manager to come here NOW!! everyone is looking at me in the place- like "oh shit what is this guy up to"..

I ask the manager to take a sip- he says he does not want to drink after strangers so I politely tell him I will pour it down his throat if he fails to at least check it. he gets a fresh straw and sips it- he says: "whats wrong with it?"-- I say "it has fucking alcohol in it"- he sips it again and says "oh yea I taste it." I inform him that my 2 kids have drank these and both are now drunk. My son now laying down in the booth is crying. My daughter is still giggling and this manager wants to act like its no big deal.

I fucking hate the cops- but at this point decided to call them. They get there and both of the officers take a sip- they too say it has alcohol in it. I say I want to to press charges-- they said I cant?? so I have 2 drunks kids and the people around me start to get angry about them serving 2 kids alcohol. The manager offers to take 50% of my bill off and I tell him in front of the cop he is lucky I don't kick his fucking ass. I walk out carrying my son and holding my daughters hand.. I did not pay shit..

I have filed a complaint to Outbacks- but what else can I do? keep in mind- these are kids- one 50 pounds the other 65 pounds. Both got sick later that night and barfed several times. What would you do?

CAll the local news company, to start, get it out in the public. Contact the board of health, and the chain manager of OUTBACK in the area to start.

This happened a few months back in my state, the resturant is no longer open, I believed they settled out of court. I think they tried going after the waitress, bartender and owner... it got swept under the rug pretty quick.

Hope the little ones are ok...... call a lawyer!

Exactly they hate the spotlight- and being a somewhat family oriented restaurant they will want to do what ever it takes to get it to go away.

BULLSHIT You cant press charges!!!
I am a cop & I know for a fact you can!!! Have you tried going down to the station? Try to talk to a higher up i.e. captain/chief.
Most cops would say that you cant press charges for 2 reasons...
1. they dont know wether or not you can or even how to go about doing it...
2. they are just fuckin lazy & didnt want to do any paperwork...
But if that doesnt work, contact the press like goof said...they should def make a big stink about it.

i would contact the press bro. this is a big deal, if you didn't catch it early your kids could've gotten alcohol poisoning. i wouldn't let anybody fuck with my family, i'm not saying do something crazy but i would contact the press and try to fuck them as hard as i could legally. that manager should at least lose his job.

If nothing call the Better business Bureau, and I am not sure who or what to contact but you can file a complaint with the state liquor license board, They will defenetly do something, like fine them or revoke there license!! Its against the law to serve minors liquor, especially unwilling, unknowing minors!!! Totally ridiculus!!!!!!! Go after them!! I would call my lawyer also!!

This happened to a friend of mine with a 2 year old, at Applebee's, asked for orange juice and got a screwdriver.. it is an error on the part of the server, or the bartender, go back and get some names, server, bartender, Manager, Gate , go get a fuckin lawyer,now, have him make the papertrail, your kids should be seen by their Pediatrician just for a check up( kind of standard) and you do have a lawsuit, my friend came out with some cash, not what he was after in the first place, but it will be a red stamp on their liquor license. and I beleive you should have been able to press charges for reckless endangerment of a child or something along those lines... I hope your kids are recovered, I would have stuck the bill up the managers ass, 1/2 off what a fuckin douche bag...

First I would have to make bail. Then the local news like mentioned before. To bad for her, she should not have made that mistake. I would want to see how she rang it up to see who's fault it really was. The bartender or the waitress. I would be fucking livid. Somebody would pay for that shit.

Dood I would be fucking pissed off...I would get a lawyer asap.

Its too bad you did not do something with the cops that night, file a complaint...get someones signature or something...then you would have a REAL fight.

Should have gotten names of everyone...even the other customers...I understand in the heat of the moment its hard to think rational though.

We had an issue with a busted highchair at a Chili's when my son was only like 6 months old...fucking chair crapped out and went to the floor...he was now hurt other than scared but we did get everyones name, and ended up talking with the regional manager person and raised a bit of hell...ended up with a good bit of vouchers for the place.
