Ok who thinks that Insulin is NEEDED to build a world class body ......
What are your views on SLIN who has used it who hasn't and results for both... FYI... No posts that it just made me fat that would imply that you were not dieting correctly with it and will need to work on perfecting that because it is common knowledge that it is the worlds most anabolic muscle building hormone. My question really is do you all think the risks out weight the benefits ??? Hope this starts some good conversations ... ![]()

If by "world class body" you mean to compete at a high level I would say that it is a must. People can get huge without it though. If you need an edge over world class BBrs then that is something that you can't leave out IMO. I'll never use it though bc for me with my family history of diabetis the risks definitely outweigh the rewards. Choose wisely.

INSULIN IS BEST UTILIZED ONLY BY THOSE WHO HAVE TROUBLE GAINING WEIGHT.
ANYONE WITH ENDOMORPHIC TENDENCIES DOESN'T NEED IT, BECAUSE THEY OVER PRODUCE INSULIN ALREADY AND IT WILL JUST MAKE THEM VERY FAT. IT IS NOT NEEDED FOR A WORLD CLASS BODY, ESPECIALLY SINCE IGF-1 IS READILY AVAILABLE. THE MAIN REASON GUYS USE INSULIN IN THE PRO'S IS WITH THE GH TO INCREASE IGF-1 TURNOVER IN THE LIVER. SOMEWHERE HERE IS A HUGE THREAD I WROTE AND COMPILED FROM OTHER HIGHLY INTELLIGENT GUYS WORKS IN THE COMMUNITY ON SLIN, BASICALLY EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF ASKING IS ANSWERED IN THE THREAD, PLUS MILOS SARCEV AND CHAD NICHOLLS THEORIES ON THE SUBJECT AS WELL AS SOME OTHERS LIKE DAVE P ETC.

Slin works really well to round out the muscles on the proper diet of basically no fats because just like it shuttles nutrients like protein and amino acid and carbs to your muscles it also shuttles any fat eaten right to your fat stores. But thanks for your response I will seek out your thread and read it through for any new information .... IGF-1 I have heard mixed reviews about some even saying that it is garbage and useless others saying use it instead of GH and SLIN I dunno also since it burns I have heard people say shot it IM instead of SUB Q I have always just dealt with the burn... Im gonna state this as simply as can be- Insulin is THE MOST anabolic hormone.
My personal experience is any of the off seasons I used insulin heavily with GH and IGF I grew the most- u must know what you are doin with it and how your insulin sensitivity or resistance plays in but if you get it right the gains are phenomenal.

for the recreational bodybuilder, insulin's risks outweigh the benefits. for serious competitors, it is a devil you most likely will have to dance with

insulin can be safe as long as you have a glucose meter take it and indgest your carbs and make sure your blood does not drop below 70. You keep that in check you will see wonders!!!!!

my opinion on insulin as someone who has used it in the past, is there is alot of misinformation about it...i mean ALOT. here are a few things i've learned that will dispell some myths:
1) insulin will not make you diabetic in the sense that it can shut down your pancreas from producing insulin. it actually gives your pancreas a break which is good because your pancreas is like a pump that sometimes gets overworked by producing too much of its own insulin in response to carb intake. however, insulin might make you insulin resistant if ABUSED....ie: used too frequently. 2) the horror stories about going hypo, insulin shock, diabetic comas, etc. are way over exaggerated. simple rule of thumb....know how long the insulin you are taking will last, and keep quick digesting carbs with you while its working. for example, Humulin R will work up to 6 hours so after a shot of R make sure you have carbs EASILY ACCESSIBLE for the next 6 hours. know that if you shoot Humulin R after your workout, and take your PWO carb/protein shake consisting of alot of simple sugars like grape juice then about an hour or so later your blood sugar will drop again and you'll need more carbs....but if your PWO shake consists of mostly complex carbs (waxy maize, maltodextrin, etc.) or maybe you eat some rice or pasta with it then your blood sugar probably wont drop again for a few hours. When it drops YOU WILL KNOW IT....you feel lightheaded and get extremely hungry in the drop of a hat, but since you have CARBS EASILY ACCESSIBLE you eat them and you'll be fine. 3) some of you may disagree with me on this....but for me Humalog/Novolog is completely useless.....Humulin R is the only way to go. Humalog makes me feel very tired and doesnt stimulate my appetite like Humulin R does, and since it is more faster acting poses a little more danger. Stick with Humulin R and you will be fine and like the results. by the way, i'm somewhere between a Meso and an Endo and insulin actually made me leaner. I think its all about when you take it and the ratio of IU's of Slin / number of carbs. I had to take approx. 27iu of Humulin-R post workout to feel the "kick" and it would take about 45 minutes to kick in. I would slam a PWO shake of 100g carbs (grape juice) + 100g whey protein + 15g creatine......then wait an hour or so and eat a couple chicken breasts and a big bowl of pasta, rice, or potatos (dry, no butter or oil, sometimes some nonfat sour cream and seasoning) then about 2 hours later eat a small bowl of oatmeal w/ cottage cheese and go to bed. Worked like a charm....put on 9 pounds the first week and after that gains came easy like normal but i got leaner and felt fuller week after week.
