Guys, I'm back......sortof. This whole weekend has been very tiring for me. I've been falling asleep the last couple days throughout the day sitting around. I've just been eating, drinking, and sleeping. My body is so drained. I'll post up the full update in a day but just wanted to stop in and say "hello". Here's a pic right now, I'm working on some more.
This is the top three, I'm in the middle. ![]() |

Alright I'm back, it took me a week, but I finally made it back on the computer. Last couple days it seems like Ive just been catching up on stuff I had been putting off till after my show. Here is my whole experience:
I felt personally unhappy with my performance at my show. I tried something new this year with my carbs on Thursday and Friday and it backfired on me. I felt that I looked better on Wednesday than I did on Saturday. More knowlegde gained for next year.... I placed second in my class. The guy that beat me is the one to the right of me. He had a little more size than me but not nearly close in conditioning. I really wasn't upset with the judging. Some great advice I once got was "Its all up to the people sitting at that table (judges) and whatever they're looking for that particular night". I could compete against the same guy a week later with different judges and beat him. It just so happened they went for more size that night, can't complain. People that went said I was robbed but I don't really care, its just how it worked out that night. I gained more experience and knowledge about my body along the way. I tried to give up some conditioning for size this year. I'm taller for the sport and just need to start adding mass to the frame. I actually stopped doing cardio after a couple weeks into my prep. I was losing too much muscle along the way. Just my diet and quickened workouts were burning fat for me, wanted to keep it slow and steady. I knew I was going to be less lean this year but I felt way less shredded, especially after comparing to last year's pics. I did gain great stage experience this year though. I feel much more comfortable in front of 800 people with a bikini on than I did last year. The night I finished my show I was already planning my next one. It provided a good confidence boost for me and will drive me on to next year.I'm actually really excited about next year. I will compete again in 14 months. I'm going to try to add a solid 20lbs of contest wieght to myself and move up a class. I wanna move up with the big boys. I'd really like to be nasty on stage and go to nationals next year.I'm gonna eat like a beast for the next year and just try to get huge for a while, hope it works out. I gained 13lbs within 24hrs of the night show. When I came off stage I had a hot dog and coke (that's what they were selling). When I got home I ate a whole pizza, drank a gallon of water, and had another soda. The next day I ate a ton of food, alot of it crap, and loved every minute of it. My hands and feet swelled and I got a set of "cankles" along the way. The next couple days I would be sitting on my couch and suddenly wake up an hour later. I was just falling asleep randomly throughout the day. I feel like today I'm finally catching up with everything. I'm currently up 17lbs four days later but like I said, the first 13 were in the first day. Overall, a good experience. I'm glad that I did it. I still have some pics that I'm gonna get up here. Just gimme time, lol, in the end I always come through |

Chopper > Sorry took so long to get back here. I weighed in at 174, I'm 5'11". I'm too tall to be anything less than a superheavy. Just gonna take some years, I'm still young.
Da Rooster > Was a level 4 show. Next year I'm gonna compete in level 5 as a light heavy and hopefully get first or second to qualify for nationals. My goal for next year is to get there (nats), that's all. |
