I'm a professed Christian, secondly a Master Mason. I realised that secular thrash metal was no good for me no matter how much I liked the sound. No matter how much I loved the riffs and beats, the message of the songs often made me ill because it went against everything that I am.

The problem is that the only Christian music you hear about is the pop music. While the message is the right one, pop music ALWAYS sucks.

If you're like me and you believe that Christ is King and that in this life you're at war from within and without, you need to hear the word expressive of the fact that that Christians walk not in meekness but in power. Enter Christian metal. Bands available on limewire:

for me, i'm a Christian too....i could be stronger in my faith, but i think i do okay. I realize that alot of the metal lyrics out there are very demented so i just look at it like the bands are performers, actors that intend on drawing a certain audience....i try to look at it as one big fascade, even though it may or may not be.

I dont think i'll ever be able to give up my Mudvayne and Disturbed.....although the new Disturbed album really has very GOOD lyrics believe it or not, and Mudvayne has gotten more mainstream....so it makes it a little bit easier to listen to now.

I'll definitely be checking out these new bands though!

You won't regret it bro. These bands are Killer, Living Sacrifice my favorite band now.

You know, the way I've described myself on myspace is : "I'm a Christian, just not a very good one..." Man you can't go killing yourself over what you said and did in the past. It's a growing process, the only way to live and walk in the light of Jesus is to MOVE FORWARD and don't look back.

I could tell you of some of my defeats, but I'd rather press on toward the Victory that's already been won.

yep, faith and the desire to walk with Christ is more than half the battle. even very strong Christians make mistakes on a DAILY basis...but because of Him we are forgiven for our sins.

I hope you stick around on this board A_B....you help show the better side of bodybuilders, that we're not all just selfish, vain, gluttonous, drug abusers.

Take catholics for example (not all but very many)... They're religious. You know, they go around with God in a box 6 days a week and on Sundays they get together and look all sad and somber in church. Nobody really knows eachother. Many of them glean nothing from the priest's sermon. They just show up because that's all they know. Just show up and thou shalt be saved.

Religion is prettymuch just that bro. It isn't about reaching out to people as it is a money machine and a tool to control the people. I was raised catholic and I didn't much care for it. I didn't become saved until i left the church.

Non-denominational/full Gospel is the way to go as far as I'm concerned.

Religion and denominations don't matter to Christ, all that matters to him is that you accept him as your savior, and then walk according to the word. Look at the wars that the world's major religions have caused all throughout history.

Name three Islamic countries on this globe that are not somehow involved in war and hostility with it's neigbor instead of loving it's neighbor as itself the way Jesus taught.

There's the difference between Christianity and "religion" bro.

Christian is a religion. I bet if ask any practicing Christian they will tell you
they are religious.
