Preloading..

I posted this a few other places but hey, since this is my home now I'll post here for some feedback from you fellas.

So I have been doing this for years but some say it's not the best way. What do you guys think. My Sundays are relax days for me. This is when I cook all my chicken breast and brown rice for the entire week. I also preload my syringes and label them.. Does anyone else do this?? I load up 7 for the whole week and store them in my bathroom cabinet so that after I wake up and take a shower I just drop the inject quicker than pulling from 3-4 differnt vials.

Some say this takes away from the integrity and sterilness of the gear. What do you guys think?

I don't like it and dislike keeping sterile stuff in the bathroom even more.

But you already knew this from the other boards.

On another note, as long as you have been doing it and had no problems then maybe you are doing something right, but it only takes once to get an abcess/infections, etc.

theres a reason they dont keep preloaded syringes in the hospital.....not sterile.

a syringe is not airtight sealed like a multi-use vial because it doesnt have the rubber stopper. i'd stop doing that shit bro....when you get a muscular abcess they have to cut that shit out with a scalpel, no joke.

Not a big fan of preloading syringes. For me, spending the extra few minutes a day is worth not having to worry about sterility.

BTW, if you do keep doing this, DO NOT keep them in the bathroom. There is entirely too much moisture that build up, even with proper ventilation. That moisture can not only cause sterility problems but may even degrade the compound itself. I've heard from a couple different dr's that you shouldn't even keep medicine in the bathroom for that reason.

Yeah I have been seeing mixed responses to this. Some say hey been doing it for years, like myself and others that say hey horrible idea.

I don't guess I ever really thought about it you know? Just got so used to that routine it's just the same every week.

I must confess tig, I guilty of keeping gear in the BR , but never preloaded. Never had any problems, but obviously the risks are there. I'll change this practice.

this makes me think of Myth Busters. lolol. They tested their office bathroom for cleanliness compared to other areas. they hung toothbrushes all around the bathroom, brushed their teeth each day with each one. The bathroom was cleaned on a regular basis. On a whim, they decided to test the inside of a dogs mouth to compare as well (hearing that a dog's mouth is cleaner than a humans.) When all the tests were in, the dog's mouth was indeed cleaner than any of the toothbrushes. They found fecal matter on all toothbrushes and on every surface of the bathroom.

i wouldnt do that any more bro,i have had an abcess and its not some thing that you want so i would just load and shoot and not preload the barrels days in advance.i dont know about you but it doesnt take me very long to load a pin

I could never do this.I just can't get past the unsteril idea.It only takes one time.I worry enough about making sure the site is cleaned and steril,I don't need to add any more worries into the mix.
