Couscous

Hey brothers and sisters,
This isn't really about contest dieting but I thought I would share with/warn you. I just had couscous for the first(and only!!) time last night with my salmon dinner at around 7:30 PM. By 1:30 AM I woke up with massive intestinal pain and ran to the bathroom and was in there for just over 1 hour and all that kept coming out of me was couscous and water. Needless to say this was very uncomfortable and I recommend that you all beware of this so called "food"

couscous is nothing exotic, its just ground rice. it was something else that did that to you....maybe the salmon?

The couscous my wife used is labeled as "Quality Durham Wheat Morrocan Style Pasta" the only ingredient is Unenriched Durum Semolina(wheat). This is taken directly from the label of the product itself. However, I was unaware of what couscous (at least this couscous product) was and I do have a severe wheat allergy, so lesson(painful and unpleasant lesson) learned I think the variety of different peppers my wife used for the sauce alsomost likely contributed to the severity of my reaction. I am also blessed with lactose intolerance so either way food allergies suck. I sincerely hope you don't have any as this is something I wouldn't wish on anybody, especially a stand-up guy and new family man such as yourself. Congrats on that; how's the kid doing?
