Has anyone else experienced a rise in blood pressure while starting HRT? Mine went from around 120/70 to about 140/80 in less then a year of HRT. I am on Testosterone Enanthate injections (1/2 cc every week) and 1 iu of HGH everyday. If you've experienced the same issue(s) what was the cause? My doc tested my estrogen levels and they came back really high for a male. She said normal levels were 17-54, mine came back at around 75!! She thinks my Testosterone levels were too high and the extra is getting turned into estrogen, which in turn is causing water retention and hypertension/high blood pressure. Thoughts?

Lower the dose of Testosterone then.
Im not sure exactly how much a half cc is since i dont know what Test you are taking. Even 100mg per week on injections is TRT level. Im using Androderm right now at 5mg per day on patches and they work good for me. My test levels are back up into the normal range I think. I feel horny once again and feel pretty good. But my Androderm is to get my body to produce test on its own. As i was on gear for along time.

We have lowered my doses...actually I was on Test. capsules during the week to get me from injection to injection. I am just doing the weekly injections for right now.... Funny thing is my libido has actually gone DOWN since started the HRT!!
So I knew right away something was wrong...I think the HGH is the only thing saving me, LOL. |

I have the info that came with some testims and it says 1 percent of people in the study had an increase in blood pressure at 50mgs per day, and for some reason it was 0 percent increase in the 100mg per day study group?? so they are saying that people that took a higher dose had no increase in BP?

f4l,
when they report 1% on 1 group and 0% on another, you can usually think of them as the same number. often they do not have enough people in the tests to be able to differentiate small numbers like that. ken d |

You also have to remember that some guys who start TRT actually develop polycythemia. I bet if you get your RBC, hematocrit, and hemaglobin checked, they're all high, which will cause increase in blood pressure due to blood viscosity. It did it to me and I had to get off TRT for 10 months. Things went back to normal and I have been on 14 weeks and the BP is going up again. So I'm getting my doc to prescribe therapeutic phlebotomies.
