Anyone ever heard anything about New Whey Liquid Protein by IDS? It comes in a 3.1 oz. vial, and supposedly has 42g of protein. It's very convenient and tastes pretty decent, too, with several "fruity" flavors (best is blue raspberry, in my opinion). I just wanted to see if anyone has heard anything bad about the supplement, cause if not, I think I'll buy a lot more.
As a side note, I never really thought twice about it when I was buying them, but when I brought a few "vials" home, my wife immediately started laughing and said they look like dildos. I guess they kinda do... so there's a second benefit of the drink if you're into that kind of thing... which I am not. ps. I would have put this in the "protein" section, but it looks like no one ever ventures into that section.

My former gym had those and I tried one after a workout. I can't remember the flavor, but it wasn't bad. Cost me 3 bucks, though I guess by the case it would be a bit cheaper. Still too much for me though. I just premake my regular EAS stuff and keep my cooler handy now with a few servings at my disposal at all times. Dildo....hmmmmm I wondered where my empty went!

I like New whey from IDS! very convenient and gives me a change from the typical protein. 2 downsides in my opinion, it is very expensive, and its not great on its own.
I believe the manufacturer markets the product to be used as an add on to a meal lacking in enough protein. I always use one when eating my bowl of oats each morning. |

I still just make a plain old whey/maltodextrin/creatine shake post-workout, but I typically carry around a few ready-to-drink shakes or protein bars to eat at work throughout the day. I pretty much got sick of all the bars (think I tried them all), and they typically have too much fat (especially saturated) relative to the protein. I switched to myoplex RTD shakes, but these are about the same price, if not slightly cheaper, and they taste better IMO and are easier to carry.

I like this stuff, they are pretty convenient for me.
I bring one to the gym and drink it after working out until I get home, then I make a carb heavy shake. Buying by the case is cheaper but the price does add up if you are drinking one after every workout. |

Had to laugh at the dildo comment - whenever I drink one, the girl in the cube next to me actually asks if she can have the container when I'm done! Not kidding! She said, "Well, you know, it's the perfect size and it is, you know, unbreakable." (Damn.)
Anyway, I order those things by the caseload. I'm in Manhattan and live with a backpack strapped to me. Very convenient, although a bit more expensive. And - after you've had about 200 of them, they all start to taste the same, no kidding. But so convenient - have about three every day which easily adds about 120g/protein to my diet. |
