Whats yalls opinion on this type of training?
Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness It seems to me like your overtraining. I think it could be used for trimming down but getting truely strong, does it really work? I usually split my body into half train like this... Mon Chest shoulders triceps and legs heavy 2-8 rep range. Tues Back biceps abs heavy 2-8 rep range. Wed - cardio if I get my ass up Thurs - cardio if I get my ass up. Fri - Circuit training reps 10-20 Same muscles as monday Sat - circuit training reps 10-20 Same muscles as Tuesday Sun - Rest I dont do cardio when I am working on size and strength. I do cardio on the days mentioned when trying to lean up. I thought about adding some crossfit instead of circuit training. |

i believe it all depends on the look you are going for. a person could build some serious core off many of those exercises.

its the newest training fad.....like Adkins of workout plans.
probably not great for mass, but seems great for endurance and general cardiovascular fitness which most of us don't have.

I agree Anon.
There is a guy who does it at my gym and the weight he uses is not and will never be high enough to obtain muscular size. He says he is a cyclist and does it for anaerobic conditioning and endurance. I do 5 days of no carbs and 2 days of carb up. I like to do heavy weight 2-8 rep range on Mon and Tues splitting my body into half. Then on Thur and Fri I do a circuit type of training similar to crossfit but more reasonable 10-20 rep range. Bodyopus is what I have formed my program around. A buddy of mine has also done crossfit and has not be overly impressed with it. |

crossfit is NOT designed to get big on. It is for getting physically and athletically fit. There thing is if you do it, you'll lose fat and get strong which will put some muscles on.
I have done some of their workouts and they are quite taxing! |
