I am ready to take it to the next level as a bodybuilder and want to start walking the road to my pro card. I really am in need of a mentor. Someone who is willing to coach an aspiring athlete like myself, and give them the tools and info they need to do it. I have the background, and the genetics to make this work. I talked to Kai Greene at the last Olympia, and asked him who I could find that would do that, and he hesitated and carefully thought out his response. I told him that there has to be someone who took even him from the amateur level into pro-level contention. He said that yes, someone had done this for him but couldn't say who, and that the only name he could think of was Dave Pulumbo. Well, Dave, said he would do it for me, but that his complete program was like $450! It included training, diet and supps. The only thing I really needed was an example cycle and an idea of what doses I would need to be taking to make the pro-level leap.
Kai said to just keep asking everywhere and never give up. He said eventually someone would come forward if I kept putting myself out there. So here I am. Does anybody know of someone that might help me. I have essentially the same level of information as the average poster around here if not better when it comes to intelligent cycle design and effective training, but I really need "expert advice." I'm 5'11'', and 290lb at an off-seasonish 14-17%bf. I can rep out 600lb squats to a depth of 13", bench over 500lb, and deadlift 650lb (when my back is ok). I have 21'' arms and 38'' thighs, and when I am lean my waist is only 33''. I make a living exclusively as a personal trainer, but the info I need anymore requires pro-level experience. Can anyone help me? At least point me the right direction? Sincerely, e P.S. Multiple postings of this because responses are so important to me and this is an important milestone in my life. Sorry Anonymizer, please forgive... |

I have not competed yet. At all. I know that sounds ridiculous now, that I want my pro card, but I know I have what it takes. From what I understand, I need to win a national qualifier first before competing in a pro qualifier. As far as feedback from everyone, I dont really need an assessment of my strengths and weaknesses as I believe I am very aware of them already but any input is welcome i guess. What I really want is a name or email addy or PM that will direct me to a current pro competitor or someone who trains them. Ive heard Author L. Rea does this, but charges a couple grand.

The best thing I think to do would scratch looking for advice trying to go pro that's your goal to reach...get your feet wet and do a couple shows and see how you make out after each competition you'll learn more and more about your body and how it works good luck

Just seems to me that drugs, knowledge, and financial backing are the only things that separate me from them. My training is no less intense and the weights I use are the same if not more than what they are using. My weight even with a 10%bf subtraction puts me well over 200lb. How much juice do i have to use to compete with the big boys. I really am curious about their dosing, because Im not sure i want to sacrifice my health that much. Only done 5 cycles peaking up to 1gram of test/week at the most. I've heard some are using that much a day! If the dosing they are using is that much higher I need to know. I just want to make sure that I'm playing with the same deck of cards that they are, and that I am willing to go to the same extremes to do so. Also, I didn't want Dave's training program or diet plan, that shit is basic. What I wanted was an example of his (or other top level competitors) drug protocol and reliable sources to obtain them from. I dont think that should be all that hard to come by, when you look like a very worthwhile investment. As much as I am hard on myself for being small, 99% of the time I am the biggest dude in the gym wherever I go, and that fucking sucks because I don't feel there is anyone I can go to for advice. I loved talking to pros at the O because it was obvious they knew their shit. Let's face it. If you want to know what NBA players do to attain greatness you aren't going to be asking your neighborhood street baller.

email me some pics to theanonymizer@cyber-rights.net
I know a couple guys who have placed 1st overall in national qualifiers although never competed in a pro qualifier but could have. one of them is my business partner for my supplement shop and a very knowledgeable guy. i know some of the dosages pros are taking and i guarantee none of them are taking near as much gear as you think they are, not even close to 1g a day.
