I am ready to take it to the next level as a bodybuilder and want to start walking the road to my pro card. I really am in need of a mentor. Someone who is willing to coach an aspiring athlete like myself, and give them the tools and info they need to do it. I have the background, and the genetics to make this work. I talked to Kai Greene at the last Olympia, and asked him who I could find that would do that, and he hesitated and carefully thought out his response. I told him that there has to be someone who took even him from the amateur level into pro-level contention. He said that yes, someone had done this for him but couldn't say who, and that the only name he could think of was Dave Pulumbo. Well, Dave, said he would do it for me, but that his complete program was like $450! It included training, diet and supps. The only thing I really needed was an example cycle and an idea of what doses I would need to be taking to make the pro-level leap.
Kai said to just keep asking everywhere and never give up. He said eventually someone would come forward if I kept putting myself out there. So here I am. Does anybody know of someone that might help me. I have essentially the same level of information as the average poster around here if not better when it comes to intelligent cycle design and effective training, but I really need "expert advice." I'm 5'11'', and 290lb at an off-seasonish 14-17%bf. I can rep out 600lb squats to a depth of 13", bench over 500lb, and deadlift 650lb (when my back is ok). I have 21'' arms and 38'' thighs, and when I am lean my waist is only 33''. I make a living exclusively as a personal trainer, but the info I need anymore requires pro-level experience. Can anyone help me? At least point me the right direction? Sincerely, e |

i always say, if you're gonna dream, then dream big.. bro, get your feet wet by doing a novice show, see how you place and if you feel confident enough then do a national qualifier. when you make it to nationals, we'll talk then. best of luck.

I've seen the winners for novice competitions across the country, and they look like fucking shit. I bury those guys on my worst day and it would be an embarrassment to even be on the same stage. Not trying to be cocky, (compared to jay Im nothing) but I'm not your average website dreamer and I know I look way better than all but the top national competitors (ie. Centopanni, Ben White) and even then I'm right there. You don't need to respond to this thread. The conversation is unlikely to be productive anymore. Thanx for the luck. |

"Well, Dave, said he would do it for me, but that his complete program was like $450!"
I think you should go in this direction. If this person is offering you what you need for this price I would pay. Unless you are best friends with a pro no one will teach for free. The info is teaching so why should you get for free? Take on an extra client and bite the bullet. A cycle could easily cost 450. How bad do you want? This is only my two cents. |

If you dont change your attitude i don't think you have what it takes. Your physique will only take you so far on its own, but to get to the very top you have to be able to look in the mirror and tell yourself "I ain't shit but I've got the heart to be champion"
