Yesterday I'm working rear delts and next to me is a good gym buddy doing incline DB presses. he gets up and goes to the water fountain and about 10 seconds later some asshole comes up and asks if anyone is using the bench next to me, the one my buddy is using. my friends gym bag is sitting on the bench and this prick asks me if anyone is working there?!? I said yes, and pointed to my pal as he was coming back from the water fountain; this guy looks at me and says he's moving the bag to use the bench?! I warned him that wouldn't be a good idea since my buddy is about 6'2 and a solid 220lbs, both of us are competitive bodybuilders, and this idiot is a shorter, older, overweight guy probably in his late fifties. Anyway my bro gets back to the bench and this older guy asks him if he's using the bench (I just fucking told him the bench was occupied!!) my bro says yes and this jackass says something like "oh, sorry buddy, I didn't know you were using this" When did common courtesy and common sense become such a rare thing?
I just had to get that out. Anyone else have an experience like that? Peace and good health to all msyko! ![]()

Yeah I know exactly what you mean.
Of course my story usually ends with me dropping a plate on his foot and saying sorry I wasnt sure if you were standing there. ![]() |

Thankfully I'm lucky enough not to run into a lot of this, BUT there is a bunch at my gym who don't believe in removing weights--putting shit back. In the old days a lonely ride down a dirt road in the country would be the remedy. Bastards all!

the thing that i hate and my boys hate, is when u are lifting heavy weights and u just leave the weight for some tiny little figure girl to strip off the bar. my boy almost came to blows with one dude because my boys gf couldnt unload the squat rack(too high) and there were multiple 45's on each side. its just courtesy plain and simple. if ur strong enough to lift the weight, u should be strong enough to rack the weight

This is just simple courtesy and if you try to do what you can then this would be just normal. Hell I have friends who've used my home setup when I had one and I even had to tell them to do this so its not just in a gym. Dont let ppl who dont do their part get to you either.

For a while I was sort of in the one posters camp about the fitness chicks and leaving dozens of 10's, 5's, & 2.5's on bars or tiny dumbbells left laying around, but in the end by me leaving the power rack bar or bench full with my weights I realized I could be penalizing folks that didn't do that shit. Sooo no matter how much it pisses me off I always unload the bars to empty anymore.

I hate those damn people that use the equipment as a resting area and when you ask them if you can work in they get all bent out of shape!WTF! Go sit your fat ass at home if you want to rest!Just my 2 cents.
