Default Who here hates professional bodybuilders/bodybuilding

I think all professional BB.ers are idiots and I especially hate the idiots that are in the audience at pro shows. I used to go to Night of Champions every year and I hated the idiots who would go to the show in a string tank, muscle shorts a gallon of water and a cooler, I mean give me a break is anyone with me on this?

There are some definate characters in the audience at shows, there is NO doubt about that. I'll relate this to you NIN since its your thread, if you went to a Kawasaki show where they were unvieling their new bikes for 2007. That would be like people attending the show in full riding gear and walking around inside wearing their helmets, even if they arrived by car. Ok, obviously if you're at this show, you're into the sport/lifestyle whatever. You don't have to make sure that everyone knows that's what you're about. Honestly, if you've got any size on you, you don't need to where the little clothes to make sure everyone can tell. I agree with you on some of the audience members.

I'm sorry though, I can't agree with you on "ALL" pro bb's being idiots. On one hand a few of these guys are who I look up to. I want thier job down the road, and if nothing else they are a sense of motivation. There are certainly some that I would want nothing to do with though as well. I have also been fortunate enough to become real friends with a few pros (3 exactly, not like I have 25 of them come over for chicken and rice). These 3 people (2 guys, 1 girl) have always been very nice and helpful to me. In reality, they could see me as a punk ass 23 yr old kid and blow me off. There have been more than a few occasions where they have gone out of their way for me and asked for nor expected anything in return. They do/did it because they're good people. I will say that bonds have been formed in part because of the way that I act around them too.......not running up "Oh, ______ can I suck your scock" or "Hey ______ can you drink winny"

You know what I really hate? The muscle worshippers. The guys who make bodybuilding their life and that's all the talk about all day but don't even look like they have trained one day in their life.

There's some dude at my gym and an old friend of mine that are just like that. They eat, sleep, breathe bodybuilding but they rarely work out. It's really weird if you asked me.

Rx, I respect what your saying about your experience with pro bb's unfortunatly my experience differs. Well maybe they are not pros's but the husband of the biggest woman in BB'ing who has appeared numerous times on a famous NY radio personality show was selling bunk gear at my gym. Another famous BB who writes for a famous BB magazine and was recently busted also was selling bunk gear. The only cool pro I met was a french dude. My gym recently had Dorrian Yates and some of my guys at the gym were surprised that I was not going. Personally I believe Dorrian set the sport back years with his ugly physique. In two weeks Sergio Olivia is goinng to be there and you bet I will be there to.
Arnold, Zane, Sergio, Padilla, Lou, Haney, Ray, Flex and Coleman those are the guys I respect but everyone has their own opinon

I train with a Pro and he is very down to earth, modest, just a normal guy. Of course, I have been around others that are nothing but a joke.

i know and use to train with top competition bodybuilders ,, and you know what they were more nice and respectful to me than the wannabe bodybuilders we see in the gym.

i learnt so many decent training ways and perfected proper lifting form from these people too.. and funny enuff 1 one them placed within the top 5 at the universe competition this year.

so basiclly pros are the same as us as they did start out as a young guy or girl with the same dreams i have.
