Making Primo-Questions

I have made test, eq, and some oral liquids in the past so I know the process used. I want to make some primo ethenate at about 150-200 mg.ml. I rtemember seeing comments in the past about primo being a little more difficult. Any comments or help would be appreciated. I will post up my results.

Just start with 2% BA. If it's dissolved in the oil then let it sit for a day or so. If it did crystalize...Add a pinch more BA. If it did not crystal up...It's good to go. I have made it at 100mg. per/ml without issues at 2%.

Thanks for the info. I don't understand why BA would have an impact on the solubility of the primo? BA is for sterility. I would like to make it at more than 100mg/ml so less oil to inject.

BA does make a difference in solubility a great deal. i've made loads of about everything you can imagine and it does without a doubt. ofcourse you would want to use 20% benzyl benzoate as well. if you want to keep the BA as low as possible...use guiacol and or ethyl oleate instead of a veggy oil. just be careful and don't filter it while it's hot. the eo and guiacol will eat filters up. hope this helps dowstrategy.

Thanks Ape, I don't want to use EO so I think I'll stick with grapeseed oil and BA at 3% BB at 20% and go for 200mg/ml. I have always used 2.5 to 3% BA with no pain or problems on other products but Primo was $17/gram and would HATE to waste it. Initial batch is gonna be 50ml. Personal use only.

I personally think you will be fine with that dosage and the %'s listed above. Shouldn't be a problem at all.

I think people just usually dosed it at 100 b/c it was so damn expensive that they were afraid they couldn't sell it at a higher concentration b/c the price per 10ml would be pretty high. (maybe not but that's how I always looked at it.)

Use a regular 2/20 ratio, and cottonseed oil

It will hold EASY at 100mg/mL and if you are using the enanthate ester then 200mg/mL will also hold.


But I have never brewed.....this is just some shit I have googled....

I tend to agree but think that UG labs often tried to emulate pharma and that is where the 100mg/ml partially comes from and, damn it is expensive so you would not want to make something even for yourself if the cost of a crash was high and people at some point began to believe that primo was hard to make at a higher concentration. Guess I am gonna find out . Won't be the first time I played lab (chemist) rat.
