Changing Usernames

Just wondering out loud here, but why do some bros change usernames from board to board. I understand some people have things to hide and all, but when somebody joins this board and says something like: "I go by so and so on the other board." What is the purpose in that?

so someone creates 4 handles and uses there own handles as refs? theres not something wrong w/ that? i beg the differ. thats what some people do. it is stupid. if your a source its one thing, have your user handle and your source handle but an average user LE could give a shit less.

The only time bad things happen in this community is when someone gets busted for being too mouthy, then starts ratting, then the domino effect takes place. That's how ORD started. "Bruce Kneller" was a complete douche, everyone knew it. He talked big talk online, and he even put his face online from an interview talking about how he visited factories in China. And he was surprised when he was busted, and I'm surprised how lots have forgotten about him. Then KZ1 went down soon after. If you dont remember he was probably one of the biggest powder importers. Then after that, the dea was led to Leo and a few other large scale china sources. Everyone thinks that the DEA did this amazing investigative work in ORD. It wasnt that hard if you ask me. All they had to do what get good enough evidence that a few large chinese sources were importing massive quantities to a few people. Then when they had that, the chinese government's hand would be forced to act. So they took Leo and the few large sources, and the top X% of importers on that list were investigated and indicted if they had enough evidence to do so. The ones that were leaving lots of tracks were taken down. The rest were scared shitless into retirement, completely underground, or into complete identity changes.

The humorous thing about all this, most of the people indicted were only indicted of conspiracy charges. Sure it still carries a stiff penalty, but it's nothing compared to the full indictments they likely wanted. All operations like ORD do is to cull the herd of the weak. The strongest survive and learn from their mistakes and become smarter.

LE is all over the boards, and i think its smarter to keep ur shit to urself. some people cant stop talking about what they do and who they know and how cool they are, eventually LE will look into them. then these dumbfucks wonder why they get popped for distribution. sometimes i wonder why some sources dont keep their mouth shut. they quarterback the shit like its cocaine, and wonder why they are treated like a coke dealer.

All very interesting. I understand the importance of those in the supply chain to switch things up. However, I tend to think a "joe schmo" regular board member like myself would only change their usernames for board to board if they had scammed somebody in the past or are just a plain ole dipshit.

The whole point of changing your name is to remain anonymous,some of these idiots change their name then tell everyone who they are,I think that is what demonsweat is getting at.
