Here are the different ranks and their descriptions:

Administrator - Just me and Quasi...Supreme reign over the ABB universe!
Moderator - Has control over 1 or more individual forums. Mods to be determined.

Member / Female Member - Initial rank when you join. PM Inbox holds 50 PM's. Can be promoted to Veteran after convincing Admin or a Mod that you're experienced, have made valuable post contributions, and take proper security measures to keep yourself and everyone else safe.

Veteran / Female Veteran - PM Inbox holds 75 PM's. Can be promoted to Veteran from Member if completed the necessary requirements. Or for commonly known Vets among other boards, this can be your rank when you join. However, that is subject to my discretion....just because you're a "Vet" on other boards doesn't guarantee automatic Vet status here.

Trial Source - PM Inbox holds 75 PM's. This is a new source that has not yet built up the reputation of an Approved Source. With no sourcing experience, only a Veteran can become a Trial Source. After proving yourself as a Trial Source you will be upgraded to Approved Source when I feel you're ready. Once again, I cannot be bought.

Approved Source - PM Box holds 100 PM's. This is a source that has at least 1yr of experience sourcing with a good track record, and has proven themselves over time. I do not vouch for sources, and as many of you have seen in the past, no source is "Golden"....but Approved Sources are your safest bet.

V.I.P. - Backstage Pass - PM Box holds 100 PM's and you have the option to log-in under "Invisible Mode" for extra security. This is an elite member of the V.I.P. section of ABB called "The Backstage Pass". To become a V.I.P./Backstage Pass member you must 1) currently have Veteran or Female Veteran rank. 2) Donate a minimum of $50 to the board per year. This section is as close as you'll get to the "Mod/Source Forum" of other boards that are even sometimes hidden.

V.I.P. Only Source - PM Box holds 100 PM's and you have the option to log-in under "Invisible Mode" for extra security. This is an elite source that may not wish to advertise on the open classifieds. To become a V.I.P. Only Source you must 1) be an approved source or VIP source on other boards and be prepared to provide references. 2) offer cheap bulk pricing and good V.I.P. discounts to the Backstage Pass members. 3) provide some personal contact information which will be kept with an undisclosed 3rd party to serve as a guaranty against any possible scamming. Your information will be kept and private and never revealed to anyone except in the event of a scam. This level of safety to the customer should be a move that will skyrocket your bulk sales to astronomical levels! This applies to international sources as well.

the requirements are undisclosed. i have a personal list of things i look for but this is not a boy scout pocketknife safety course so i'm not going to make them public so people can just put on a good show. you are who you are, and when you become worthy of true vet status i'll grant it. its not a rank i'm going to be giving to anybody and everybody like on other boards. vet status here will actually mean something and will probably be less than 10% of the total members unlike other boards which can be as much as 25-50%. post count (or post whoring) will not be a determining factor at all.

amen man. the whole idea of Veteran is being killed with so many newbies under the title (on some boards atleast). IMO veteran status means you've been around for a while, and contributed when you can, and not just post whored your way to 1000+ useless posts. The purpose of veterans are to distinguish the people who have been around, and understand nutrition, training, and the game. some newbies understand the nutrition and the training as newbies, and they become vets faster. some people learn the ropes through other vets. but when its all said and done, you become a vet when it becomes evident that you know those three key factors.

exactly my idea....anyone who's been on these boards less than a year is by no means a vet. maybe you've been bodybuilding forever, but does that mean you know board etiquette and security? or maybe you know all that stuff, and juicing, training, nutrition, etc.....but you barely ever touch a weight? all theory and no practical application does not make you a vet. there are enough people on these boards that just read and regurgitate, and so the same outdated information gets regurgitated over and over again. vets are people who have come, seen, and conquered. Vets have tried Animalbolics....read the Borrenson Death Cycle....tried Raver's T3 Cycle....tried H.I.T. the Mentzer way...and the 100 Rep Set. Vets have seen it all, tried it all, know what works and what's just bullshit theory and can say it from experience verses just speculation.

Pretty detailed.. I agree with the both of you. Post counts represent absolutely nothing, neither does time.. It's all in what you know.. There isn't a person out there that knows it all that's for sure.. I have been on a quest to know it all for 8 yrs now and still feel like i have barely scratched the surface.. There are always so many different sides to a research.. Impartial or not, you can take two extremely weathered vets who give a person the same roundabout advice but still deffers in some aspects.. Research is golden and it takes a whole lot of it to find where you stand in a community as complex as this one..
