how about a reference forum on members ,say joe wants to trade with paul , paul could start a thread to see if anyone will bump or vouch for joe .or can we do that now ? or is that putting members to out in the open ? penny for your thoughts.

i'll tell you what a ref should be, someone that will fully back you and if you dont make good on your end, your so called ref should be ready to pay your debt for you, if your not willing to do that then dont ref for anyone. what else should a ref do? say, "yes, i did one transaction with him, so he's good to go" that dont mean shit.

i personally will not ref for anyone these days, a select few but that is it. i dont think a ref forum would be an adequete addition to here as it might make certain people tragets if they ref alot, and i agree w/ F4L above.

Absolutely not, I understand it's just a suggestion but it's a cheap short cut. It's cool to get to know people on here so take your time. I know some guys have xtras that you'd want but can't get because lack of ref's but there will always be guys with extras and if it's just that you need gear that bad then just order internationally.

I don't think so. It would be the same as a scammer forum.

You ask for ref on Joe Blow and 3 newbies register only to post that Joe Blow is a straight up guy and "you can trust him". Then you trade with him only to learn that you've been scammed. What then? You can't blame his cronies because that was their only posts.

It would also be difficult from a legal perspective. I'm not certain of the laws, as they vary from state to state, but if there is (a) a buyer; (b) a seller; and (c) a reference - then that is enough to have federal conspiracy charges brought against the ref as well as the other parties.

Now, I'm not positive of this, but I'm pretty sure.
