Chuck is back! Great fight with Wanderlai and Chuck won by decision. A lot of action in that one. Chuck really pounded the shit out of The Axe Murderer but Wandy just kept coming.
GSP absolutely owned Hughes. GSP dominated Hughes on the ground and made him look helpless. GSP won via tapout in the second round.

I was very happy for GSP. That guy has character. Hughes has been asking for an ass-beating for a long time. IMO, he got it.

I think matt actually cried a little as he screamed "IM TAPPING". Im glad for once he manned up and just admit that GSP out classed him.

As a fighter I think he is really f'n good. It's the way he carries himself and the words that come out of his mouth that I just dont care for him too much. I have to say tho GSP dominated him from the start. Plus I like GSP: anyone that bangs a ring girl is cool. lol Everytime I thought Silva was going down he fired back and Machida that guy is actually getting more exciting to watch. First 2 fights he was a little boring. But his fight against Soku was pretty exciting. I love that sweep he did to put him down. As Soku thru a punch he stepped in put his right leg behind Soku's left leg n sweeped it and that was it. He has some skills. I still can't imagine what BJ looked like fighting at 205 against Machida when they fought. On a side note Fedor beat the 7'2" Hond Man Choi last night 1:54 1st rd by arm bar. Anyone see the fight or pre fight pics. Choi looked funy... He towered over everybody. Guy is huge. Actually took Fedor twice I believe. Now only if we get to see Fedor vs Randy this coming yr. The fight everyone wants to see. I just want to see Fedor fight more. HE IS THAT GOOD. Doesn't look like much but damn he can fight.

Yeah, I am sorry i never meant to say hughes isnt amazing, he is just too much of a dick to respect. GSP is so humble and appreciative and respectful you have to "like" him. As far as his skills.....i dont even need to say anything his year round resolve to condituioning is amazing enough.
Mach surprised me a lot, he is definately becoming good to watch from a technical standpoint. I love to see good technique in the heat of battle. The best this year for me was when Joh (war machine) k did that sweep on J roc with just his hips and finished him after both of those boys fought a war. Fedor.....I have yet to see a legit flaw in him....he is human....that is the worst i can say about him. Outside of randy he is one of the few that makes heavyweight fighters look respectable. |

I was glad to see Chuck back in form again.....Silva had a better chin than I thought, because he took a few HARD shtos to the face and kept bringing it. As far as Hughes goes, he should take an easy bout, win, and retire...hes one of the greats, but he was seriously outclassed by GSP, and is past his prime.
