Hey all,
Well, it looks like a ghost town in this part of the board; but I thought I'd post anyway. Does anyone get lightheaded after doing their leg workout? Hell, even in between sets of back-squats or leg presses? I see some guys chatting it up in between sets and i'm lucky enough to grab enough air inbetween sets. Just making sure I'm not a weirdo. -=E

I get light headed if my sets are too close together. I like about 3 min. between sets, any less than that, my poundage suffers. AAS wreck my cardio capacity, but this seems to effect everyone differently. My main problem is back pumps when I do legs. They get so bad that I have to lay down on a bench between sets.

I definitely suffer from a lack of breath after hitting any type of leg work. The worst is actually barbell walking lunges, they have me gasping like crazy. I also need to make sure I eat well in the hors before my workout or I get the light-headedness

I keep my reps at 15-20 for legs, but mostly 20. When I was younger, I used to do a lot of low reps for the squat. Sure my strength went up, but I never got the size and shape I wanted until I upped the reps.

I use a variety of reps (in the squat) alternating every other week. My heavy weeks I work up to a heavy triple or double. The other week I keep the reps around 10 - 15. The higher reps really kick my butt - I'd rather do the heavy weight and low reps any day.

What works for me is not eating anything within a couple hours of my workout. I just down a few poweraids and sip on one while I work out. |
