Dan Henderson to fight Anderson Silva
The Ultimate Fighting Championship, at the post-fight press conference in New Jersey, announced that Pride 185-pound division champion Dan Henderson has finally relented and has agreed to fight UFC champion Anderson Silva.
The bout is to take place sometime in March, which would most likely be at the UFC’s return to Columbus, Ohio on March 1 at Nationwide Arena. Henderson suffered a disappointing decision loss in his return to the UFC last September, when he lost to current light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson. Despite that loss, he had steadfastly said he wanted to remain in the 205-pound class. Silva has dominated the 185-pound division since debuting in the UFC with a 49-second TKO of Chris Leben in June of 2006. He has finished all five of his fights in the Octagon, only two of them going outside the first round.

On paper, good fight. Henderson will control him with the clinch and bring him to the ground easily _ hopefully. He got out wrestled by rampage, which shocked the shit out of me. Henderson is much like couture in the sense that he uses a nice greco roman style fighting, which usually proves extremely dominant.

You know what...I really like both these guys.. I just watched the Henderson vs Wandy Silva fight that was a good fight.... Hendo and the "spider" are just both entertaining fighters to watch... So I am looking forward to it.. Although Hendo did report later that he does want to go for the LHW belt again at some pt... Wouldn't that be something if he got the MW n the LHW belt in the UFC...
Oh and on another note: It was reported again that Fedor will be fighting this NYE against 7’2” Korean Hong Man Choi. Anything can happen in MMA but I would just like to see Fedor fight somebody ranked or worthwhile....
