From what I've read on the subject the horror stories of side effects relate back to the days when people worked in the plants manufacturing tnt as it is used as an ignition source for tnt. These people were breathing it in day in and day out. Everything in moderation and definitely monitor your body temp. remember you outside feeling of warmth isn't as important as your internal temp.

It is a risky compound to use. Moreso for women, as they seem to develop cataracts more frequently from it. Also, the dose is critical. A dose two or three times therapeutic level can be lethal.

DNP was legal at one point in time and approved by the FDA for consumption. Of course you have the people who go overboard, there have only been 4 confirmed deaths from DNP through oral consumption for purposes of fat loss.

If you are knowledgable about it, and its use and potential effects, you run little to no risk of coming close to death.

As far as legality, 2,4-Dinitrophenol is a legal chemical compound to purchase. However, since 9/11 attacks it has been put on a watch list for purchases in large quantity, and you will typically need to be a chemical research company or R&D company to come close to buying it.

To summarize, it is legal, however, when capped for consumption it may run into the grey area as far as legality goes. Just play it safe as with anything else you may use.
