Scammer Prevention - A Possible Solution

Due to the recent Almost300 issue and in general all the scammers who have come and gone across ALL the boards in the past couple years, I think I might have a solution. Sources might not like this at first, but I think members will like it, and in turn I think it would amount to more orders for the sources.

"SOURCING INSURANCE"

Much like auto, home, or commercial insurance, the source would basically prepay an insurance policy that would act as collateral if they ever decided to scam in the future, however near or far that would be. Here's how it would work:

1) in order to source at all on this board, every source (new or existing) would make a deposit to me in the amount of $1,000. Any new source that doesnt have a $1,000 cushion is operating to tightly and is probably a sign he will either sacrifice quality for one reason or another in the future, or disappear with his customers money the first time a powder order gets snagged by customs.

This $1,000 will be held, and personally guaranteed by me. If the source doesn't trust me then I dont care, and I dont know why they would want to source here in the first place. The dates of these deposits will be posted in the open forum for everyone to see, just in case theres any doubt about me staying honest and saying that I never recieved the deposit.

2) Source fees will be simplified to $150 per 6 months. No 3 months terms, and no 12 month terms. Its just too complicated for me to keep up with. Source fees will still be paid at the beginning of sourcing here at the same time as the deposit.

3) If the source decides to discontinue his sourcing here, the full $1,000 deposit will be returned to him, minus money transfer fees or postage fees, however he chooses to recieve it.

4) If a member is ever scammed by an insured source, then that member will be reimbursed for the full amount of what was lost once he shows proof of payment in the form of a WU transaction and corresponding email proof.

5) If multiple members are scammed, then the $1,000 deposit will be split between them in their corresponding percentages of the total amount lost.


This is up for a vote. The vote will run for 1 week or until at least 50 members vote.....hopefully there will be alot more.

Sources are allowed to vote as well.


If this bill gets passed but it scares away all the sources, and none of them trust me enough to put their money where their mouth is ("i'll never scam, i'm the most honest source there ever was") and it means that AnonBB will never have another source, then so be it. But if only one source buys insurance then you can bet that source is gonna be slammed with orders!

If you vote this is a bad idea i'll never bring it up again.

This sounds similar to what I mentioned to you in pm about having an account with my supplier backed by my own funds. I will also contribute to this as well. The first HGH order should arrive next week and I will have the funds to contribute shortly after.

Sounds good. I wish all boards did this. I think I'm getting scammed right now by a well known source for about $2200!!

Sounds like a good idea.
I have to point out however (no disrespect nor accustions toward you at all Anon) that DBB mentioned a somewhat similiar idea not long before he himself turned scammer. I believe he made out with quite a bit of money.

i would have to say that DBB had that planned from the gate in w/ the scam he was giong to pull on the 2 bros that didnt deserve it.

I agree, but can there be a small time frame to gather this money together, for new sources? I understand that we should be operating with a fair amount of capital already, but in my situation I am not...

Will this apply to all sources or just approved ones? Perhaps putting this in effect for existing approved sources would be a good idea, to see how it works and then if the members desire, they can vote to have trial sources put up the deposit as well.

But I vote yes, as long as the issues I have discussed are put into consideration.

GREAT IDEA! We as customers send money without knowing if we will get our product,no offense to the sources on here but they should be liable.GENIUS ANONYMIZER!

I am not sure if it needs done or not but I will say this...if its done at all then ALL souces need to ante up....hell the new trial sources should be the first ones to pay up.


IMO I would not allow ANY new sources....I know that everyone has to start sometime, but I just dont think right now is the time to "start" Now say you are a source that closed up shop and are coming out again thats one thing...but now someone new to the whole thing.

Security was always important...but right now its even more so that it has been, and the things you need to do to stay safe are MUCH more in depth than before....I mean you need to have funds and paks go thru a series of addies and people before they are picked up....or shipped out...I just think theres alot of things that you as a source need to do now to stay safe and keep your customers safe. And personally I dont trust someone new to sourcing to do everything right. It takes a great deal of money to pay people to pick up funds, hold products, receive paks, ship paks...etc

Its a decent idea, but in the end having proven sources is the way to go. Less quanity and higher quality.
