I used to watch that show all the time. I think it is cool that they are going to bring it back. I would like to see who they are looking at as gladiators.

I went to the Teaxs State Championships a couple of weeks ago and there was a woman there that is in the final auditions for the show and man she was HOT!!!!!!

wtf!! bros... Beth Horn is fucking gorgeous!!! She used to compete in the pros but failed to make her mark and married some portly rich magnate if i remember correctly. I cant wait to see her in her outfit on the show. Julie childs is fuckin smokin hot too! Godamn....this is good news. And for you astro-glide candy ass guys out there, im sure youll appreciate mike o'hearn..lol.


i remember this show from way back....it was a funny kind of fucked up show, but it was always entertaining. Ill be checkin it out def.

i remember the chicks on the old version were always bigger and buff. Neither beth nor julie ever competed as bodybuilders, so im anxiously hoping to seem them both juiced to the gills for the show...most likely wont though...but they should! Its sposed to be the mere mortals against their gladiator counterparts who are bigger stronger and faster.

I loved that old ass school show, I always rooted for the "mortals" nothing funnier back then (pre-supplementation) to see a good natural athlete outdo a hulking roid raging maniac. remember the obstacle course and the swing weher they would try to knock the gladiator of a pedastal, I remember a guy kicking a gladiator in the face and knocking almost the fuck out, he landed and started immediatley to call the guy out who just sat and laughed at him...great show...

Boxer Laila Ali, who impressed many with her stint on Dancing with the Stars, is getting involved in another reality TV show. However, this time instead of being a contestant. Laila will be co-hosting the show. The show in question is NBC’s American Gladiators, which will run as a midseason primetime offering.

Ali is currently the undefeated Super Middleweight Boxing Champion of the world with a 24-0 record and 21 knock-outs. Ali is also the author of a motivational book titled "Reach!" Ali will be co-hosting American Gladiators alongside wrestler Hulk Hogan. "It's an honor to be reintroducing this American classic to a new generation of fans," said Ali.

Craig Plestis, Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming, Development and Specials at NBC Entertainment made the announcement. "Laila is a Gladiator in her own right," said Plestis. "Her fierceness in the ring is matched only by her charisma and authenticity. There is no competitor -- male or female -- who she can not relate to on a personal and competitive level."

In American Gladiators, everyday amateur athletes compete against action stars and stunt professionals in contests of physical strength and endurance. The series will include such classic events as The Joust, The Wall, Hang Tough and the Eliminator.
