I have been following the pro's for a long time now, but stopped rather suddenly last spring. Not sure why, but I just lost interest. I see being in this empty forum that others are rather jaded with the IFBB like I have grown to be. I'm gonna start this thread in an attempt to revitalize the interest for the members here as well as myself, and see if it goes somewhere. I'll be keeping up on the scene again, and bring all the latest news and contest placings here to my thread. Hopefully some of you will contribute info and opinions and this thread will have a long life. I didnt put it in the "scene" section bc this will be about the pros(ill have the pro qualifiers reports too), and that section seems more for the local and npc group. There's only a few threads in both sections anyways, so I just followed IPL's lead and went here. Well, thats my introduction. I'll start posting in here very soon. Peace. - N3G

RONNIE RETURNING?

Don't believe the rumors that Coleman will be back on stage for the 2008 Arnold Classic. When he hints of his possible appearance in that show, he's talking about 2009, and even then, it's with an emphatic "maybe."

To squelch those rumors, he explains, "I've been competing non-stop since 1990, doing about five shows a year with no break, none whatsoever. Even when I was doing the Mr. Olympia, I always did the European shows afterward -- I never missed one of those; so I plan on taking the entire year of 2008 off, hopefully to get a good long rest for my body, after tearing it down for so many years. I won't train as hard as I normally do, then hope to come back in '09 renewed and rebuilt. If I do the Arnold Classic and win, then I'll do the Mr. Olympia; but only if I win the Arnold. That would be the first show I'd come back to; I've always wanted to do it again. Meanwhile, I'm still training, because I have guest posings coming up. I'm eating good and working out every day. Nothing has changed, except that I'll take a good year off to heal up and rest up. I'm just getting ready for '09."




editor's note(nyuknyuk): Ronnie can't leave. He doesnt have a choice in the matter. this is all he knows. he will continue on a la' nasser did, and i dont see him giving up if he misses his target at the Arnold in '09. i saw this coming before the olympia. Im not a huge fan of the man ever since he made those off-color(no pun) remarks about jay cutler winning because they wanted a white champion for the sport. people seemed to get fooled by ronnies easy going, innocent country boy nature. he cannot accept defeat. he needed this loss...not for his career mind you, but for his soul. I hope deep down when ronnies all alone in his big house late at night, and noone else is around...he can admit to himself jay beat him fair and square that night.

DENUE’S MOTION TO WITHDRAW AS COUNSEL FOR DEFENDANT RYAN …
TRIAL SETTING (ALL)

Court conducted a canvass of defendants Titus and Ryan pursuant to Supreme Court Order. Both defendants acknowledged they signed the Informed Consent and Joint Defense Plan which was marked as Court’s Exhibit 1. Court FINDS defendants Titus and Ryan knowingly, intelligently and voluntarily waived their rights regarding conflict-free representation and therefore, ORDERED, defendant Ryan may proceed with Mr. Cristalli as counsel. Mr. Denue’s Motion to Withdraw, GRANTED.

Mr. Saggese and Mr. Cristalli indicated they are clear for a June 2008 trial setting. Mr. Tomsheck requested an August 2008 trial setting stating he has conflicts in June. Colloquy. COURT ORDERED, matter SET FIRM for TRIAL in June 2008. Colloquy regarding pretrial motion deadlines and discovery. Mr. Tomsheck stated most of the motions for defendant Titus have been filed but not litigated. Mr. Cristalli stated he will need time to get caught up to speed. COURT ORDERED, matter CONTINUED two weeks for Mr. Cristalli to review the file to determine what needs to be done and a briefing schedule will be set at the next date. Court ADMONISHED counsel that if there are any issues reference discovery and/or experts, those motions need to be filed and heard sooner rather than later.

As to Defendant GROSS: Defendant’s PRESENCE WAIVED THIS DATE. COURT ORDERED, matter SET for TRIAL SETTING after the trial date for defendants Titus and Ryan. Mr. Palazzo requested the bond exonerated stating defendant has been in full compliance. State submitted. COURT ORDERED, defendant GROSS’S BOND EXONERATED.

More of the same and blah blah blah. notice how gross has his trial after they are scheduled to begin. he's obviously rolled on them and is his fate is dependant on how material a witness he turns out to be.

this whole thing has really run its course, and i hate to say it, but the community has already condemned titus and with good reason. i feel no pity for kelly. she is a big girl, and she went bad. the fact they have her on camera buying gasoline from the walmart in the middle of the night says all that need be. my only hope is that she doesnt get off any lighter than her hubby. i remember seeing titus and ryan in jay cutlers double dvd a few years back, and they were both shot out drugged up looking. livin on the edge..


i used to be a fan of craig's..esp when he got his pro card..i always liked his physique..despite its shortcomings. he exuded confidence and it carried him far in the sport.


im not gonna touch back on this unless something noteworthy happens, but i will keep up with the trial for everyone.

This link was in my box today, and I was blown away by his progress. Could we be looking at the future Mr. O? Taking nothing away from the man's work ethic, he's seriously upped his meds.

you can say ronnie was beat BUT how can you say he was wrong? yea sure... jay beat victor too huh? jay is the wt. boy that sells rags and victor is the hispanic guy. the "sport" is dead. it never really was alive.

Why are you even on a BODYBULDING board if you believe that our sport (and it IS a sport) is dead and never was alive to begin with? What exactly is your purpose here? If you're not here to discuss the SPORT of bodybuilding and its many facets then why are you here? And make no mistake, bodybuilding is very much alive and in what I think is an exciting state of transition. There is enough negativity in the world, why would yuo needleslessly and pointlessly thow more out there?

i like being large, i like drugs and i like helping others. thats why i am here. BB is NOT a 'sport'. be real about it. YOU may love it and a select few may but its a fringe form of entertainment. its a never was that is loseing the lill life it had left.
