Which drive-thru breakfast is lower in calories?
Here is the lastest edition to IPL's "Food on the GO!" Sometimes it's all you can do to throw on some clothes, brush your teeth and get out the door in the morning. On days that you don't have time to cook or pull together a healthy breakfast, the fast food chains are there for you--opening early so you can pull through and order a quick, hot meal. But, with the poor reputation of fast food these days, some chains are doing their best to offer at least some healthy alternatives, even when it comes to breakfast. Here are two similar ones. Sonic's Bacon Egg & Cheese Toaster is served between two thick slices of Texas toast. Select Subway locations serve breakfast as well. Their Double Bacon & Cheese Sandwich offers double the bacon and is served on a deli style round. Which bacon & cheese sandwich will fill you with fewer calories? The winner Subway Double Beacon & cheese Sandwich!!! Subway does it again! Their Double Bacon & Cheese Sandwich contains 460 calories, making it a decent sized breakfast. However, it's also high in fat (23 grams), saturated fat (12 grams), heart-unhealthy trans fats (0.5 grams), and sodium (1,320 grams--more than half your daily recommended intake). When it comes to calories, Sonic's Toaster is only slightly higher, at 500. Similarly, it's also high in fat (29 grams), saturated fat (11 grams), and sodium (1,698 grams). Remember, while calories count for weight loss, other factors, like fat and sodium content matter for your health. Subway's Cheese Breakfast Sandwich is the best option, weighing in at 270 calories and a mere 9 grams of fat (and zero trans fats). Stay Strong~~!!! IPL

Subway can be the devil, i get the Chickn breast on wheat no cheese just Veggies and some Mustard sauce. People go there and think Hey its healthy i can order anything i want! Then get BMT 12' with Extra cheese and double meat, with 2 coookies and some Chips haha. Thats way more cals that a Double whopper w/cheese.

Orbis, you are so right!!! Alot of people just don't think about what they are putting in there mouth!!! They wait until they are starving to eat, so there stomache is doing the thinking for them, (all it knows is Im hungrey give me food, I don't care what kind, just put some in me!!) instead of thinking about what it is they are ordering and what the health and nutritional values are. When clients come in for training and nutritional counceling, they are so shocked at how often I recomend they eat and sometime at the quanity of food they some be consuming. They are like I can eat this much that ofter!!
Then you get to hear well I don't have time to...... thats when I stop them!! LOL So thats the reason I started throughing together this information for my people to educate them selves with.All they remeber are the commercials about they food they see advertised as being healthy and like you said they order a 12" blah blah blah, with a mountain of fixings and they awww I'm eatin healthy today!!!! Lets get serious here, think about what, when and how much of everything you are consuming at each meal and be real about how healthy it really is!!!! Stay Strong~~!!! IPL
