Any recommondatiosn on a mid-grade cell phone/package to buy? nothing too fancy, just one that works rearonably well.

I have used Verizon for a while now and several others so far Verizon has done ok with no real issue. The phone I just bought through them was an LG8600 no real bells and whistles just a slim phone, camera and the usual crap.

Take a look on CNET at the cell phone reviews thats how I picked mine. I looked at the editors reviews then you can see how regular folks rate the phone.

Ten I do throw aways, prepaids, allows me to stay on budget, and if I get tired of the service I go to another carrier. It seems like more money upfront, but in the long run you save money because your are keeping up with your minutes, also with some carriers you can sign up for a plan that has free nights and weekends, and if you go over your alotted minutes you still can use the phone on the nights and weekends.

I've had Sprint for 7 years. I briefly switched to Cingular, now the new AT&T (did I sound like the commercial? LMAO!) and it was a piece of crap. Phones sucked, and the service sucked even worse. I switched back to Sprint and I don't plan on leaving again.

Depends on where you live bro, Hell you may be in the middle of Africa for all I know and then a cup and a string may fit ya better..lol. Verizon is an awesome carrier as the first reply said to your post. They have the most towers. The throw aways are a great idea. Some of the throw aways if you get a decent phone they use multiple towers like they may have a contract with cingular and verizon to use both towers and you get better coverage. I like t-moblie with the 5 faves and I can change them every month which I do when my latest hoe gets tired of my ass I can get me a new hottie and add her to my 5 faves so I can call her free. Works out great and they also have unlimmited texting so if you get a chick that loves to throw a hundred texts a day at ya that comes in handy!.
