This is something I just saw on MSN health section. Just wondering what everyone thinks about this?
Drinking eight glasses of water a day Admit it, this is one healthy habit that’s a royal pain. Luckily, it’s also completely unnecessary. For some people, eight glasses a day might actually be far too much, leading to sodium deficiencies and potentially life-threatening water intoxication, caused by kidneys not being able to keep up the intake of liquids. In 2002, a kidney specialist tried, in vain, to find any scientific evidence supporting the eight-glasses-a-day myth. His report, published in the American Journal of Physiology, concluded that this standard health advice was complete and utter bunk that, like many urban legends, stemmed from a tiny grain of truth. Apparently, the dietary guidelines provided by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Research Council do say that humans need 1 milliliter of water for each calorie of food—adding up to about 10 cups a day. However, the same guidelines also say that we get most of this liquid from the water in solid food. There’s no need to drink more.

Well mate, I live in the desert of CAli, and it gets into the 120's here and if you work in the sun as I do, ( const) I go through about 2 gallons of water aday, this is before my work out, and yes you must supplement your salts, minerals, and especially potasium. So in my case I can believe it easily, but in colder weather when not sweating as much,it would be hard to choke down that much... just another opinion
It is good to flush the toxins, nuthin feels like sweatin out everything in your body... but four months gets to be a bit much...

1 gallon is about right for me, I fill it up with Purple wraath(controled labs Supplement) and drink it just to get some Bcaa,Eaa in me steady throught the day.

I use gatorade, and salt tabs, tried some sh*t called (E) for emergency or some thing like, that it tasted like ass, before all the jokers jump in Yes I do have an overbite, LMAO

This article probably came from the same people who made the USDA's food piramid!! Which has breads as one of the most important foods to consume!!! Bogas!!!! I'm sorry, I am open to just about everything and will listen to anyone who can give me a good explanation that I can understand and with research not find contridictory. I guess thats just me, Ii have a thirst for not only water, but knowledge about our body's and how to keep them healthy and functioning like a well oiled machine!!! You only get one body!!! So we must, we must, take care of it the best we can learn how to. Again I state our bodies are 77% water!! Does that say anything??? To me is like putting PROTEIN in our body to fuel our muscles which would waste away with it. Saying that what do you think would happen to our bodies without H2O? Well it can't possibly be good.
