I never have an entire cheat day and cheat meals are very rare. I just don't get the cravings for crap food. Sometimes in the summer I might have an ice cream cone from McDonalds but those are only 150 calories so that's really not cheating.

When in contest prep.no cheat meals unless instructed to because my metabolism will get super fast, or too fill out. In the off season, not really cheat meals per say..i don't crave or want that stuff, plus when I eat it..I feel like shit! If i feed myself every 2 21/2 hrs, I'm NEVER hungry
If I "cheat", it would be an ice cream like longhorn said, or maybe a burger from restaurant, not fast food. |

I wanted to add a little bit more to my post...I used to cheat on Fridays, but my cheat days didn't mean eat doughnuts, cakes, cookies, or crap like that. What it meant was that I would actually go out for lunch with people from the office, but still order from the menu wisely. And then Friday night my girlfriend and I would go out for Mexican food.
So I guess for me cheating just meant eating more total food as opposed to a bunch of fast food or sweets. I feel like crap when I eat crap...go figure. The longer you go without eating that stuff the less you want it. Now I may have pizza or hot wings 2-3 times per year but only reasonable portions. I never eat Wendys, McDonalds (other than cone once in a while), or any other fast food. Ask yourself this: would you put regular unleaded fuel into a jet fighter? |

When on a strict diet, I'll cheat once a week or once every other week to 'refeed'. When I go low on a carbs I need it to workout hard. It's different for everyone, but after a while it becomes intuitive.
