Default Dannsteelman 1982 ~ 2007 RIP
I just wanted to let everyone know that Dan died 2 nights ago!

As you know, Dan has had a lot of problems since getting a brain injury from his bike wreck 2 1/2 years ago.
During this time so many people from these boards stood up to help him in his times of need.
I guess i just really wanted to say thank you so much for all the support you gave him...i know it ment so much to him.
The tragedy is that having been strong enough to survive this long he died just a couple of weeks short of getting the intensive help that he has been trying so hard to get for the last two years.

Dan was the most amazing man....one of lifes good guys...despite having the most appalingly abusive upbringing he became the kind of person who couldnt do enough to help other people in thier time of need despite his own (usually worse) problems.....he saved my life and were it not for him i would not be alive and my son would have no mother....he truely loved me with every ounce of his soul and i have no idea what i am going to do without him.........i miss him so much already

This is truly sad. I can't say I new Dan but I read and enjoyed many of his posts. My thougts and respect went out to him recently when I read his post about his life. I was inspired to see someone who had been delt what seemed to be such an unfair hand in life and I was truly rooting for his recovery. To all that new Dan and to his familly you are in my thoughts and prayers. God be with you all.

thats really really sad. Dan was a good guy i had the pleasure of knowing for the past several years. He was also one of the most trustworthy guys on the boards and a great moderator on this one. We'll really miss him here.

THATS FUCKING TERRIBLE.

I'M VERY SORRY TO HEAR THIS, I DIDN'T KNOW HIM WELL, BUT HE WAS ON ALOT OF MY BOARDS, AND HAD BEEN FOR QUITE A WHILE, WE WERE ALSO ON SEVERAL BOARD TOGETHER, AS MEMBERS, HE SEEMED LIKE A GOOD GUY.

I WASN'T AWARE OF THE DETAILS, AND THIS WAS TRULY SHOCKING TO ME.
