The Ghetto Mentality

I live in a city in the SF Bay Area thats known not only for a suck ass football team but its fantastic murder rate. So my issue is that i'm sick of all these ghetto motherfuckers and the tough guy attitude they all try to portray. the truth is that the majority of these assholes are cowards, unless they out number you 10 to 1 or have a gun they won't do shit. every mexican and black male walks and drives around with this bad guy look on their faces and i wish that i could take a wood baseball bat and cave in that ugly ass mug.

i work for the city and i'm so tired of that same old crap about its eveybodies fault but theirs that they dont want to find jobs and instead sells drugs and murder eachother in record numbers. i lived here my entire life and the shit has never changed a bit in the same areas of the city, it just goes on year after year. call me what ever you like, but i speak the truth.

Well Felon, I don't think thats its just you who gets tired of the attitudes these people have and will never get rid of, its just life and there bad attitude they've been raised with or convinced themselves that the world is against them and the were never given the chances others were given. I live in a small rural area, we have much of the same types of conditions in some areas around where I live. I live in the whats know as better area, but just 8-10 miles away, a larger city, like 40,000 people over the last 2 months there has been gang wars and shooting everyweek end!!! I got stuck in the gym a few weeks ago, as there was a shot out and police chase going on, one of the suspects drove into the gym parking lot excaping from the officer chasing him. Well it happened to be one of my good friends who noticed I was at the gym and stopped and told me to stay there as it was the safest place I could be, because of all the fights, shooting and chasing going on!!! So from 6-til almost 11pm I was stuck at the gym and affriad ot leave because you could still hear the sirens from the police going. Well when I left I had to run my training partner home and there were punk gang bangers hanging everywhere, young to old!!! And of course an innocent kid walking down the street happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and was killed. Its really sad, because you know these people have all the same chances in life we all do, they have the power to change there own lives. I've seen it done. I have a friend that trains at the gym that was into that seen and got busted and he told me it was the best thing that ever happened to him, it saved his life and forced him to take responsiblity of what he was doing and the kids he had. He's a great guy, that I would have never ever guess he had lived a life like that. He lost everything, and started over with nothing, now has a house thats his, a very good management job, his family, and most of all his life back and his health. So I know if you want to change its there you just have to make your mind up and do it. No different then BBing, its a mentallity, and if you can't achieve it, you won't succeed.

I heard a black man say that american prisons are the new "Plantation", give me a break, i guess us evil white people are forcing the blacks to commit all the crimes or maybe we're somehow just making up all the crimes and they are all innocent?

Besides the fact that you are an overt racist which you are entitled to be. And I respect your opinion. But you are no different with your whining. All the time when you post its to whine and bitch and complain, about the social ills of society or how someone has done something and you take it personal.
I wonder how can you talk shit and bitch when you actively choose to have a name of Felon4life. So the fuck what you recieved a package, and it got you busted or whatever your song and dance was/is the fact still remains what you did was illegal. So because its Steroids, you are no different from a black guy on the corner selling drugs, or getting them?
I just wonder do you think before you post or do you let your anger build up until you explode, as if you took the route of a baseball bat to their face how different would you be from them, and them killing off those trying to kill them?
Say what you want, or feel as you have grown up wherever, but until you walked a mile any other man shoes or lived their life, you cannot judge, and for you to take the stand as you are better than everybody lets me know your posts are facades, and you are the coward hiding and posting instead of speaking up, and being active in stopping the injustices you speak on.
You see I am part of the Solution not the problem, I touch many children's lives everyday by showing them the other side of the fence "the white way" or the right way to live. Or another path to life enrichment. As a teacher who actually cares, I do what I can, and i see the front lines as I serve on it daily, and have been on the drug side, and the school side. SO i know what can be done. And I know how can one can move on and stop being BITTER, and complaining about the Black men complaining.

All in all, I challenge you Felon, I challenge you to be a part of the solution instead of being the problem. Stop bitching and complaining and do something to help.


As for the plantation statement, if you work for free,and you have no freedom you are slave no matter what color you are. So when you served time, were you in the house or outside? ROFL...

Well, i live in a suburb of one of the largest cities in the US and I not only see black and mexican thugs, but plenty of white ones too. the problem is the media is glorifying the desire to live this "ghetto fabulous" lifestyle which goes along with talking like a thug and acting like a thug but having money to throw around at the same time. Nowhere in that image does have an education and talking intelligently fit in. So with no education what job can you have that makes you enough money to walk around in a VIP room drinking Cristal? certainly not a minimum wage paying job thats fitting for a highschool drop out. then *poof* enters the idea "i'm gonna sell drugs!"

I agree this is the Rant and Rave section so Felon is just doing what everyone else in here does.....but I also admire the teachers who are underpaid for the amount of true value their work gives to society. For society as a whole to change it seems like the only way is one person at a time.

I like what you said about "one person at a time" thats a great statement. As is what you say about everything does nothing but make the life of a drug deal, thug master, and the walk and talk of one. Alot of everyday news glorifies this life style, you hit it right one the nose. Now in the area I live in its not just one race of people that have made the choice to live this life, as I believe sociality has no colors, we are all one of the same, God made us all the same, no matter the shades of our skin. I wasn't placed here to place judgement on anyone, as I don't and Have raised my family in this manner also. But this is no always the case, as people do hold grudges for and placement on othere for things that may not even have happened in or around there life time, which I don't believe is right, society needs to move on and make its own history and not sit around grudging on old history.
Every evening in the gym after or sometimes before I work with under priviledged kids, adults, what ever they my be, felons, or on there way to be in trouble in life, I offer free training for these individuals who can be responsible enough to come in speak with me, tell me why I should help them, and show me they can be responsible enough to make an appointment and keep that appointment, I will train them and help them try to reach what ever goal it is they may be trying to accomplish, in the gyn that is, and only without the help of AAS. This is my way of contributing to the community and trying to give something back and help others to know that they can be responsible, they can attain goals, that all in life is not lost. I feel like I have earned a lot of respect from the people I see come and go, but only because I give them the respect they earn from me for being responsible and keeping there word.
