Keep in mind, it eats mad bandwidth so the board will probably be a little slower....how much slower? who knows.

So is it worth it?

I think its a good thing, it encourages member participation, and keeps things movin on the board. All in all it seems that it enhances the boards activity level and generates extra interest. Its also good to be able to occasionally chat there with sources and staff.

I vote NO... I think it distracts from the rest of the board andpeople sit in the shoutbox and just yap. Dont get me wrong I love them and I'd use it but I just dont think we need one here is all
