NEWYEARS EVE THE MOTHER FUCKERS GAVE ME A DWI FOR SITTING IN A PARKING LOT WITH MY CAR RUNNING.... ITS SOO FUCKED UP ME AND MY GIRL WALKED OUT SO SHE COULD SMOKE BUT SHE HAD A SKIRT ON AND WAS COLD SO I STARTED MY CAR TO KEEP HER WARM... I SERIOUSLY HAD NO INTENTIONS OF DRIVING AND STILL GOT CHARDED WITH A DWI... WHAT A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT THIS STATE WILL DO ANYTHING AND FUCK ALL THE PEOPLE IN THIS STATE TO MAKE A DIME OFF ANYTHING THEY CAN... THIS WILL COST ME THOUSANDS!

I have friends in Upstate NY that have gotten DWI's for sleeping it off in thier cars and the keys underneath the car,they figured long as the keys weren't in the car they were ok to sleep,they guessed wrong. NY is a horrible state when it comes to DWI's,it seems that if the keys are within 5 miles of you they are gonna arrest ya.

A buddy of mine is a state trooper in NY and he was telling me today how New York state makes millions a year off of their DUI arrests and that they will stretch the law to the max to make their case. It is truly fucked up and I'm sorry you got hit with it. Good luck and peace to all,

New York and New Jersey are overpriced piece of shit states that will fuck their grandmother(s) if it means getting a dime. I've had experiences with both and can honestly say that there is a reason people there are ignorant motherfuckers. There is a general indifference borderline contempt for most fellow men, and the police and social services in general treat the people like shit accordingly.

u guys are soo right about this state!! let me tell u something.... i was reading the local section of the paper where i live back in november and they were talking about how people werent paying their dwi fines and the courts were owed like $500,000 just in dwi fines... they were saying how it was effecting their budget... lol is that crazy or what?? the fact that they would actually have a budget based atleast in some part by fine money?? tthere are cops everywhere now!!! i see cops in places where i live that u may only see 4-5 car in a day.... they will pull u over for anything and ticket u for everything they can!! its a scarey time to be on the roads here in my state!! ofcourse with the amoount of debt our state has im sure they are told to go out and write for anything and everything! it just isnt fair to have them doing this to people up here!!

Ordinarily, I would have given you some bad news, bro. If they smelled alcohol on you, that's one thing. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION, i.e., you was not driving at the time of the "violation". So I would advise you to get a good lawyer (not one of those, AS SEEN ON TV types, and fight their asses. You were screwed.

It's a dark blue GMC with chrome 20' wheels. In LE lingo, that spells "gang banger" Last week, I was driving home from work and decided to stop at the grocery first, which is less than a mile from my home. Just as I pulled into the alley of my place, I noticed a pair of headlights really close behind me but I didn't think much of it. Just a few feet away is my driveway so I pulled into it. And what did I see? Fucking CHP stalking as if I'm "driving dirty". Before I could enter my place, they already made a U-turn in the alley and passed back around to make sure that I live there. I hope I pissed them off when I literally laughed in their faces for such a rookie routine.

Ah man that sucks, I've heard of stuff like that happening though. Around here they were really lax this year, I don't drink so doesn't really matter for me, but just kind of surprised me they didn't even set up one check point.

a good lawyer who actually thinks he can get me off is $8500... this is all for about 5 drinks and i was just sitting in my car... where is the justice in that?? this shit has gone so far it really fucks peoples lives up!! normal everyday law abiding citizens are being turned into criminals in my opinion! in my state there are soo many cops now its nothing for me to pass 5-6 of them on a 5 minute ride to the store and i live in the country... its to the point where they actually go out and try to trap people into tickets just to justify their jobs! u would not believe the stories i hear of tickets people have gotten around here! scarey times to be on the road!!
