i tell you since ive been down south the gym situation has really sucked...shoot barbenders is a rip..pay 100 down and 30 a month for life..stop anytime..come back pay 30..should have known that shiz was to good to be true...week later they never opened again..now went to golds gym..not bad 65 down 21 a month a steal of a deal..nice place come as you are kinda gym...been there 4 weeks well going on 4 weeks..started talking to this bro and said what a shame about this place closing..im like what???he said yea this thursday..fuckkkkkkk man they are sending everyone to some gym usa fitness or something and giving us 2 weeks free"woooooooooooow"thanks guys..and sign up put money down and start this shiz all over again..what is up with this ripp off deep south shiz man...i cant win for anything down here...ahhhhh horse shiz...ribb

I worried that mine will soon close. There are three new gyms within 5 miles that have open in the last 6 months. If mine closes, I'll have to go through the same shit as you. Maybe getting a home gym is the answer?

most gyms here up north started showing they were going down a couple of years ago so i began putting together a small gym in my basement. i have everything i basically need now. its not the best but hopefully it wont be closing soon

Yea to many people open up gyms and then the gyms can't get a good enough memebership to afford their bills. I use to work at a gym and lost my job because they had to close it. Sucks big time, thats why I've been slowly building up my basement with equipment, stuffs expensive but I'll have my own home gym one day!

I'm sure you already know this but, Craigslist.net and Ebay have a ton of Equipment. I was looking at an entire gym going out of business. I buy and tell at auctions and I'm waiting till equipment shows up at a local auction as well. Also look at a site call AuctionZip.com. This is a site that lists auctions all over the country. There is a search at the top where you can input what you are looking for. It will list all the auctions within a set distance that have what u want. You can pick this shit up for 10% of its value. Anyone that wants more info on this, let me know.

La Fitness is $39 per month near me. Plus they want $295 sign up fee. But the gym is amazing.

yea mindf..there are within like 5 or 6 miles and a few others one i checked out one had a siren and a lite that goes off anytime you drop a weight..lol..no deadlifting there...yea maybe ill just check something like that out..but having to keep comming up with down payments is starting to really suck..and there all about dress code down here south florida by the way..shoot jerzy i could go work out in jeans and workboots come as you are..yea maybe i will check la out..i was in the gym you know the one who closed today as a matter of fact..working out these guys are taking all the equitment out..guy tells me he needs this machine..im like bro damm i have a few more sets..jeez..he tells me he owns level 5 in delray and he use to own this gym sold it to these cats never got all the money so put leans on all the equitment in the place...funny world man....peace..ribb

Big corporate gyms suck,I was asked to leave a 24hr fitness.Apparently some of the members did like me there.They did me a huge favor,sucks for my girlfriend though.She pays yearly,I have no idea why the fuck anyone would do that.You never know what is going to hapen.Anyway in a smaller gym where they play Metallica loud and heavy lifting is smiled upon!
