ive always read 48 hrs...seems to be an accurate estimate based on my real world experience...

its anywhere between 48-72 hours. the way it works it, it builds up in ur system.

Technically if u were to run a cycle of 200 for 4 days , and 400 for 10 days - a typical 2 weeker, it normally takes around 10 days for all the water accumulation to come off, the bloat to go and then for the lean look to set in.

that said NEVER USE A DIURETIC WITH DNP - PLEASE!!!

Crystal DNP has a half-life of about 36 hours; powder is about 48-72.

I've used both before, but deal only in crystal now. I like the control of being able to very quickly cease the effects if I get too uncomfortable, or have to go back to work on Monday.

There's a quote in one paper that goes like this:

"DNP's high potential for toxicity stems from its narrow "therapeutic index." Studies have shown that acute administration of only 20-50 mg/kg is lethal in humans, while at the same time DNP is easily accumulated in the body owing to its long half-life of 5-14 days (4.8). Proponents of DNP routinely advise users to take 5-8 mg/kg daily, despite the long half-life. It is alarming that despite its recognized danger and ban by the US. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). it is still widely recommended on the Internet for weight loss at doses at only one third that which is potentially lethal. Another concerning fact is that the ambient temperature at which DNP is administered may have a profound effect on its toxicity."

Conciliator believes this particular cite on DNP half-life to be incorrect, and anecdotal evidence from common usage certainly supports that, though I would suggest that some effects may be persistent and that complete elimination from the tissues is likely to be a lengthy process. We are both currently looking for better data.
