just made it official today of dumping my gf of 4-5 months now. I hoped to keep some kind of relationship by going to vegas with her, but that didnt work, she basically ruined the trip because she is selfish, insecure, and jealous, and I had had enough. i told her i didnt love anymore, because she wouldnt let me go and promised to change, but I knew she wouldnt. and it is unfair of me to change her. there is a difference between molding and changing. molding you accept how she is and hope she improves on some qualities, but changing is a whole other animal. she always been that way, and I cant expect her personality to change like that, when I can find a girl already what I want and I dont have to put up with BS all the time til either she gives up or I do. just i expected more out of a 27 year old with a kid, but I was wrong, and she needs to grow up a lot.

Live and learn, but at least you know you tried.

No one should settle and there are certain things you shouldn't have to work at IMO. Although, every relationship takes compromise and some work...

You're lucky to have the fortitude it takes to recognize what will never be and walk away. A lot of guys can not do that and end up in miserable marriages. I once new a guy in the same type of situation you were in only he didn't end it when he should have, he just put up w/ it hoping she'd change if he married her. Ten years of marriage before the guy was so miserable that he ended it.

Be strong my man. You just did something positive for your life.

yeah, I broke up with her before and tried to make it work because there were feelings there, but that lasted all of one week and I realized it was a waste of my time. i have no patience with BS from anyone especially immature crap from women. she cried and cried, and honestly i didnt care, i was tired of the drama, and it didnt faze me one bit dropping her like that. i know what I want in life, and a immature women who is selfish and inconsiderate isnt one of the things i want. i think too many men, such as myself, have some type of hope that a woman like this will grow up, but when she is 27 and still hasnt, I am not gunna stick around to see that slight chance when I can get a girl myu age(22) with no kids, more time and is better looking, and is mature.
