Sources to provide REAL IP, and not Proxie while sourcing

Let's take board security to another level!!!!


This is an idea, let's take this board for example:

A source want to work it, fine. From here on the source will have to shot down any IP proxies, or tunnelling, to ALLOW the board admin to verify his/her REAL IP. Once the admin veryfies that the source has provided real IP, then source can be allowed to have status, and follow protocol to get full approval status.

I imagine that there is a questionare that ADMIN requires source to fill up, prior to allowing source to work here???? If source in questionare claims to be from San Fran, and all mailing addys, P.O. boxes provided are from San Fran, then the IP should read equal to the are. (refs are wonderful to have, but in my book, they don't fly too high)
It will be up to the ADMIN to verify all info of course.

Once all info is good to go, then source can be allowed to surf and work the board, with proxies, tunnelling, and all other goodies she/he may want to implement in order to protect themselves.
Bottom line is however, MEMBERS CANNOT SEE IP readings, only MODS, ADMIN.


This idea, like ALL OTHERS, is and will not provide bullet proof vest against possible issues, but will ensure that all members have extra protection, in the event something negative were to happen down the road.

I am fucking tired of seing friends and members get ripped off by this scammers.

We need to have their 411 100% on them before they work the boards.
If a source does not want to give real info, then they can go somewhere else, and other baords will become as tight....in time hopefully, it won't be so easy to source.

Sources that go bad and screw the community over, are only making it harder for NEW potentials to gain ground....good honest potentials.
More scammers come around....and yes, some will be able to beat the system, but let's ensure we go the extra mile protecting ourselves.

This is not a good idea and i'll tell you why.


If it becomes common knowledge that I have all the personal info on every source on this board guess who is going to take interest? Law Enforcement. They'll come after me, the board owner, with God knows what kind of conspiracy charges and try to force me to turn over information. Then the board will go down and every source with it.

To protect against scammers there are very few things you can do that don't sacrifice one thing for another. If it were me, i would have never ordered from Wierdnutz....maybe if i had $50 to blow i would have ordered one bottle of his EQ. But when it comes to a new source, never send more than you can afford to lose....its like when you go to Vegas....never gamble with more than you plan on losing. You start off small, let a source build up trust, and then once theyve established trust make your orders progressively bigger and bigger if you need them. If you need a large order right away, use a source that has been around a long time....there are plenty of them on this board who have been around long enough to prove themselves. Sending $200 to a brand new source just because the same order would have cost you $240 somewhere else is fucking stupid.

Good sources have the right to keep their anonymity....and thats what this board is all about. So no (HEAR ME LAW ENFORCEMENT) I will never be collecting any addresses or saving an IP's on sources....try another board.

Regarding the Wired incident, thats what I did...spend $50 on a $100 bottle of EQ....did I expect to get it..YES, was I that mad about the money lost when I did not NO,was I mad about the jackass saying he had all the refs, and he bullshit sob story about the theft of his GH and money and then I got scammed YES

Sources should do exactly the opposite, NEVER EVER reveal where they log on from. Most assume sources just sit at home on their PC using proxies or vpn. I can assure you they do not.

yep, if the server that SSB sits on were to ever become compromised every source that advertises on that board is fucked because GA doesnt allow any sources to have proxies...or members to have proxies in the classifieds.
