Exactly, the media fueled alot of the misunderstanding of steroids, and know nothing legislators took the bait hook, line, and sinker. If you haven't already and want to catch a glimpse of their cluelessness, check out the middle of the movie Bigger, Faster, Stronger...that has some insight into how clueless the politicians (Henry Waxman) are, and how the committee basically disregarded professional medical opinions to classify steroids with other major harmful street drugs.

Yeah, the Arnold thing is fuckin sad, but the pure comedic gold is when he goes to interview Henry Waxman, who has spearheaded the movement against steroids, particularly in baseball, and he has to defer to his aide for every answer, including what is the legal drinking age in the U.S.

my mom and i got into a discussion abouut roids once...she was following all the BS the media was putting out because of Jose Canseco....i educated her a bit on it and she seemed to understand a bit better...my mom is a smart women and very open minded but it shows how much of an influence the main stream media plays on american people.....this is part of the reason i dont watch the news at all unless its sports center
