Hmm. . . Well I've had a bunch. Hope I can even remember them all.
1. When I was 4 I fell and had a wooden flute in my mouth and it went through the back of my throat. Almost got paralized. Got 10 stitches in the back of my throat. Blood everywhere!!! Dont remember it too much though. 2. Had a Hematoma aka blood clot in my left thigh. I was skateboarding and grinding on a rail that was held up by some bricks. I fell and landed my left thigh on a corner of the brick. Had a huge bruise that turned into a blood clot. Went to the doctor. They tried to get the fluid out with a huge ass needle. Didnt work. Had surgery and got a 12" tube put in my leg to drain the fluid. 3. Fractured my achilies tending. My brother stomped on it with the side of his shoe. 4. Fractured my wrist. Fell on it from 4ft high rail while grinding on rollerblades. 5. Broke my left ankle. 6'7" 320lb guy landed with his knee while playing Sophmore year High School Football. 6. Broke my right ankle. Slid into 2nd base playing baseball and twisted my ankle like crazy. 7. Tore my left knee maniscus. Jr. Year Football. Big ass Sr. fell on it in a scrimage. Had 2 knee surgies. 8. Hurt my left shoulder pretty badly maxing out bench at 385lbs. Got it up before that and tried again a week later for 2 reps. 2nd rep the bar started sliding back. 9. Got an umbilical hernia. Too much stress in the gym I guess. Had surgery for it. 10. Slight tear in left pec from BB bench. There might be a couple more that I just cant remember. But that's enough for now. |

Ok guys...get ready for this, lol
1. At 12 I wrecked my left knee playing football (never healed right) 2. Also at 12 I was in a 4 wheeler accident doing 60MPH on the beach. was thrown off and fractured 3 vertabrae in my lower back L1-L3 3. I have lymphatic system troubles. Had to have a node removed 4. Hernia in my lower abdomen 5. Drug behind a truck at 25-30mph unkown to the driver I had been tossed and my jacket caught the truck. Severe road rash 7. Osteoarthritis of the spine 8. Mild compression deformities of T-4, T-5, L1, L2, L3 vertarabrae in the back 9. Yet another fracture for L1-L3 PLUS T-4 T5 from a motorcycle wreck 10. Both lungs crushed and collapsed, died on the scene and 3 more times in hospital 11. Hairline fracture of the skull following my wreck at 70MPH+ 12. All ribs fractured 13. road rash 14. Traumatic Brain Injury that disabled me. I am still disabled and suffering 15. Torn Rotator cuff that never healed from having a very violent seizure. There are many more close calls. I am a walking miracle, lol I also fractured my finger and had a compound fracture of the ankle. Still have the spinal issues but I dont let it stop me and I refuse to take meds for pain. I listen to my body for damn sure Most of that was from my accident 2 years ago. I am still mentally disabled (cant control emotion or handle stress very well, my damage is 42% of my brain covered in cystic scar tissue and mostly on my non dominate side of my brain)Oh, and I have elephantitis of the penis, lol All true, lol have HUNDREDS of documents just regarding my accident. seeing one of the best neuro rehab doctors in the entire world. Gotta love the NHS ![]()

that is some serious shit dan, glad you are hanging in there.
yeah, the bat to the head wasnt nice, turned me off like a switch. Not exactly an injury but more of..."why wasnt I injured?" I ran through a sliding glass door, it exploded into a million shards, not a scratch on me. |

Yeah willy...I know what lights out is...kept me in a coma for just over 2 weeks because my brain injury and back were severe...plus it took that long for my damn lungs to stop collapsing...crazy shit is, I had a do not rececitate ON FILE with the hospital that they chose to ignore. They thought I was going to be cabbage for the rest of my life.
Do you have any re-occuring issues from the bat? I am in a support group and some guy almost died for being bashed in the head with a fucking brick. People here scrap all the time since guns are illegal to own...so people just get pissed and fight haha

Dan,
You and I are living anomalies!! I, too, encountered brain trauma when hit in the backside of the skull with a yanked out street-sign post during a rumble (over what else but tang)!! Should have killed me but now I have pain 24/7/390!!! Don't want to opt for surgery but may have no choice!!! Been in pain for twenty-years!! I am afraid because of the spinal-surgery outcomes I've witnessed!! Little benefit from such intrusive surgery!! I would give a years salary to feel "right" for a week!!! Pain is a "bitch" and growing old doesn't make it any easier!!! I'm continuosly told I look ten-years younger than my true age but it means nothing if I feel 30 years older than my "true-age"!!! |
