Unless there is something I am not aware of the answer is NO. It's nothing like insulin.

Hi Dr X. I noticed your reply here in his question.. Have you used IGF in the past my friend? Reason I am asking is because your reply is wrong. B2J

It is nothing like insulin, in that IGF-1 probably cannot kill you with hypoglycaemia, whereas insulin can EASILY kill you if you OD.
Now, does IGF-1 cause hypoglycaemia? ABSOLUTELY!!! Take it with carbs and keep feeding carbs regularly afterward. I have not used a dose any higher than 40mcg and the hypo feelings were very obvious at that level. I never needed a higher dose than that, but I have seen guys do 100mcg and can only wonder what that does to blood sugar. Now back to the question of wether IGF-1 can kill you out of hypoglycaemia. Let's say you go to the gym, have a gruelling workout, pin 150mcg IGF-1, have no carbs, get into your car to get back home, get hit hard with hypoglycaemia, fall uncounscious and wreck your car and die. Is this a possible scenario? ABSOLUTELY. I put 150mcg up there, but reactions are highly individual, so just do it right and you'll be fine. |

Well, I know IGF-1 is supposed at affect insulin sensitivity, but I've done 4 cycles of IGF now, and NEVER had hypoglycemia on it...... EVERY TIME I've used IGF, I've been on a low carb diet too, so I don't know..... Never affected me that way..... Maybe I was just lucky.....

Most people assume they are just feeling tired. However, that tired feeling is associated with the hypoglycemic effect.
At the practical doses we all use, I would say no, that you are not going to go into a state of hypoglycemia like you can with Slin. But you "can" feel groggy from it. As long as you are getting carbs in with your meals, you should really not even notice the "tired" effects from IGF. |

I injected 40 mcg after my workout today and ate 1 banana, half a box of pasta, and 3 pieces of bread. all around 200 g of carbs, and I still felt kind of tired. who knows
