I travel a lot so have used many many different gyms (New Life, Lifetime, Golds, World, Powerhouse and a lot of unheard of places) I tend to agree that it doesn't really matter ....as long as they have the weights.
I would say though I am more comfortable at my home gym and move through my workout at a what I would say is a smoother or faster pace.
I'm currently in Canada for the next 6-8 months so I am using Goodlife fitness centers right now and their decent places.
