The head phones are a gray area for me. I don't like to be totally unsocial. The Gym is a great place to meet ppl in your area. Moved from PA to FL and did not know anyone. Now, I go to the grocery store and I'm likely to run into someone from the gym. Of course thats not y I go to the gym, but it is a benefit of being there. Second, the cord gets tangled in the equipment. I mean, here you are doing a set at your max and the ear piece gets yanked out and flies through the air. Sort of has a way a fucking up a good set. Not to say that ppl can't make it work, just me I guess. As you can tell, I have tried the headphone thing and would like to use it because as you can actually tell, I talk to much a the gym. Just can't get comfortable with it.

BBW get an Ipod or mp3 with the arm attachment bro. It saves the wire from getting caught up. I cant work out with out my headphones in. I cant focus without them.

First off heavy arm and shoulder exercises create many many injuries. Does anyone have anything to add?[/quote]
Awakened, You're right on with this. Last Friday, I tore my left bicep trying to do an extreme amount of weight (standing barbell curl) in order to shock my biceps into growth. I've done this over the years every now and then, but it caught up to me this day and I KNEW before I did the set I should not do it but did it anyway. I felt a rip or pull in the center of my bicep and set the bar down in disbelief. Doctor thinks I have a rupture to one of the bicep heads although my bicep has not rolled up my arm. Lot's of swelling and enternal bleeding though. Waiting on an MRI to tell - damn I don't wanna go under the knife! From now on I'll be doing the routine you described. I had to learn the hard way. |

My uncle has been an all natty bodybuilder since he was 16 yrs old and he is 60 yrs old now and still trains 4 days a week and has taught me to basically read and teach myself how to grow and not hurt myself in the process which is not always easy because the slightest bit out of normal form can cause an injury. This seems to be working well for me so I will stick to it for now. I pray all goes well for you bro. Good Luck |
